The universe is infinite *going to mine his couple 150-200 billion dollars on space*  Grin -Planet what have precious metals and the diamond planet.  Tongue
Then I can buy oil rigs on earth and sell fuel with nanorobots on NASCAR, formula racing cars and tractor pulls  Grin

I've been fascinated with space and cosmos ever since I got my senses xD

With all the mysteries out there with the universe and its weird laws and questions, one such question that boggles our mind is whether the universe is finite or infinite?!

If it's infinite, then isn't it a violation of science since according to it, everything must have an end?!

But if it's finite, then what is surrounding it? And what is it expanding into?

Thoughts?

I think the universe is infinite in a sense that we don't fully understand  Smiley

There is a couple of theories we could talk about that propose the existence of a multiverse.

In the String Theory, there are 11 dimensions: 1 time dimension plus 10 spacial dimensions the idea is that tall these spaces are different extemal points in a large multi-dimensional space. Each verse is like a bubble in an ocean made out of dark energy,

The many-worlds interpretation in Quantum Mechanics states that new verses are created all the time, where each possibility that can exist does exist; let's put it this way, in Schrodinger's cat experiment, when you open the box, one universe is created where the cat is alive and another where the cat is dead.

I personally don't find the many-worlds theory sound, but I incline to believe in the existence of a multiverse as string theory states.
