There are various apps that has this feature. I suggest going with Blockfolio. Feel free to test out other crypto apps though.

Blockfolio website: https://blockfolio.com/
Google PlayStore link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blockfolio.blockfolio&hl=en_US
It is a good suggestion I also used this app on my mobile phone as a tool for checking my portfolio every time and everywhere I go.
It is handy easy for you to monitor the market price, I think most trader and holder now relied on this app and might be used them as a tool for gathering market information price while you have other appointments/job. The most I like on this app you know on which exchange site you may sell or buy your coins.

Know any apps for android phones that make noise when price alerts are triggered?

I also use blockfolio but for alerts, I use Bitcoin checker
Download link here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobnetic.coinguardian&hl=en&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dbitcoin+checker&pcampaignid=APPU_1_WjyNW6PdIKaQvQSQkrWgDg
It supports differet exchanges and pairs.

You can set a trigger price and there is an option to have yout text-to-speech alert you. I have this on every ten mins. alert when the market is fluctuating too much.  Cheesy

Try using delta app and it also have new feature that you can create up to 7 portfolios which isn't available in blockfolio. This new feature can help us to monitor each coin that we hold.

Get the price you target emailed to you. So you will receive an email, and since smartphones send email notifications.... No needs to install and use an application. Cryptocompare (or a site similar) and LiteBit can send to you the emails

I think it's kinda hassle for email thingy. It's better to install an app like you're hitting two birds with one stone.

Hi there,
I'm currently spending way too much time either looking at charts or checking my phone to see if a price alert has been triggered on the crypto app i have installed.
Looking at LCD screens all day is really bad for your posture, it's not a good habit.

So I'd much rather have something that makes noise.
This way, instead of checking my phone every ten minutes i could just wait for a 'Ding' and then i check my phone to see what's up and if i need to do anything regarding buying or selling. I know stop-limits are a good way around micro-managing things... but it'd be nice to have a free service to give you a heads up when things are on the move.

Know any apps for android phones that make noise when price alerts are triggered?
Thanks,
Try mobile apps like tab trader and you will be surprised how much you will be so happy you ended up coming across it. With this tool, you can view any market chart, do your analysis, make use of some indicators like MA, RSI, MACD and some few other relevant ones, and then, you can set alert for probably stop loss. Also note that this is an app where you can use your exchange API to trade directly on it.

Blockfolio may be good at times if you just want to monitor the price of your holdings, but does not stand any chance in par with analyzing a market to be able to set an alert at certain point. I would rather be using applications like tab trader. I wonder why a lot of people usually do not use this, unless maybe they have not heard about it.

But truth being told, since I started using this, I have never missed any trade, and I get alerted straight up without issues while making my trades directly on it, with Bittrex, Binance and Kucoin API integration. How cool is it when you are mobile with your trade.

Yes, the android price alert application mentioned above is good but I will advice you to also try out crypto price IQ or bitcoin checker. Mind you, they are both free application and good to go on android phones. I'm sure you'll thank me later for it.

I think it is also known as what they call job hazards... but really, it is also a concern and I feel your concern. Too much time on the screen I'm sure has a negative effect at a long run.

Thanks,

There are several applications for android phones that you can use to achieve your goal. But I advise you to use blockfolio because this application is free and easy to use. You can set an alert according to your taste.

You can download it here :

Thanks,

Not just it have some alerts but since it's "widget" you can placed the monitoring directly at your home screen for real time price monitoring. Since you used your phone regularly then it will save your time opening the actual app. Even it's running on background, no such thing as it will deplete your battery fast or your phone will became laggy

But since this app doesn't lists all coins on my portfolio, my alternative is Blockfolio app on which the link is provided above by one of the responders here.

If you want an app, you can download this [1], and I think it's the best. "I did not try all applications, but this app contained everything I wanted."
You can get notifications of light, vibration, and sounds when the price exceeds an absolute limit.

If you want more alerts/notifications try this site[2], built on  "If This Then That" If Bitcoin price XXX Then XXX "worked with your phone and your social media."

Blockfolio and tabtrader works well for me. They are both applications and you can easily download them on the playstore. With that you can monitor your trades and set alarm for varying price of different cryptocurrency coins and tokens.

Tabtrader should do the trick for you. I wont say more than that but this is one app that has really been very helpful and has made me discard using my desktop for trading cryptocurrencies. I know it is available on android but not sure about other OS. For what you are looking for most especially, that is what you should be making use of.

Thanks for the suggestions.
I think i'll go with the app, as i get so many emails - i don't want each one to alert me of it's presence.. as most are adverts and blogs that i've subscribed to e.t.c.
I'd like to have a specific sound related to crypto alerts, so i know it's important to me.
Regards,
G

Apps would be better for you because they are more or less simpler in giving you the notifications as compared to the subscription to the different channels and feeds over the internet. They could be very much disturbing, may be sending lot of mails, messages etc.

With the average android app you will get the notification according to your setting along with the set up of how you would like to have the alerts sent out, technically speaking they will be given straight to the notification bar and thus making it very easy for you to read and interact. Most of the wallets and exchangers android app have this feature in built. Try coinbase and binance.

There's a great alert implemented in Blockfolio. I'm pretty sure that's the norm amongst full-time traders, atleast the ones im aware of.

I'd also add Delta App. Available on all platforms as well. Tracks some coins better than Blockfolio in my opinion but it's a matter of personal preference. You also set alarm notifications on it.
