I know there are several projects manage to accumulate good funding but most of them tank after they hit exchanges. There’s really no difference whether project’s launch on different blockchain networks the question is how can they make their product work and generate income.

hmm, I'm pretty sure that with the proposed changes, anyone can build an income-generating, sustainable business on it rather easily.

I vaguely remember an ICO of a token that was based in the Stellar blockchain called Glitzcoin that held their ICO in June 2018 and they raised a whooping sum of $18,000,000 but the most amazing thing is that I checked the token price now and discovered that after a year and half, the tokens is still maintaining it's ICO price.

Glitzcoin is a fraud project, the development team stole the bounty hunter's money and they paid the amount 5 times smaller than they actually were.
As soon as the Bounty campaign ended, the Glitzcoin group hid the spreadsheet and paid a sum of money representing the bounty hunter. The bounty hunters tried to contact the group and demand a public spreadsheet, but anyone who talked about the bounty was fired from the chat group.
It shows that their project is worthless, i mean if they can easily fool bounty hunters from the right payment they are asking, then what we do expect for investors if they complain also. they will do the same thing and will kick you out of the group every time they dont want you to ask something important about the tokens.
That's right, as soon as everyone got the reward they sold it all. We cannot believe in a project that they initially deliberately cheated.
If anyone intends to invest in Glitzcoin, be careful with their promises, chances are you'll end up getting a pile of junk.

The thing about Stellar is that there already is an enormous amount of tooling behind it. Also, when Jed made Stellar, I think he added "too many" features (like trustlines), that make it difficult to adopt by new users. It's also difficult for token issuers to convince potential receivers to use Stellar, because creating a trustline is a burden on their end. So my idea is to create a version of Stellar without these initial obstacles. I've made a repo here: https://github.com/buhrmi/aya

I'm really just interested in your guy's thoughts right now. No ICO or anything (at least, not yet)

Stellar is one of the platforms that isn't attracting more developers, few of them actually like NEM as well. There were projects developing on their platform but only too few. I don't know if its too difficult to create tokens there. More projects were developed was under Ethereum, TRX and EOS. The waves platform isn't even getting much Dapps and maybe because the programming language is also one that isn't very much easy to use.

Good to know there are few successful ICOs like MOBIUS. Do the projects like MOBIUS, Glitzcoin, PIGZBE and all add value to Stellar?

MOBIus is the most successful project till now, I think. but I don't suggest you to invest in any ICO right now. it just and old trend now, like ICO, investors seem like not interest anymore any follow that, there won't be any such successful project in future. so investing now is just a waste of money.

Stellar ICO-based networks are not as popular as Ethereum-based networks, many of which are even successful, but in the Stellar ICO network there are always successful ones but I have never invested in them, and I also rarely see projects that use the Stellar Network in sales successful one.

Hi all,

I really like the Stellar blockchain, and was thinking about basing my own project on this chain.

Just wanted to know if anybody knows of a cool example for an ICO based off of the Stellar network.

Cheers,
buhrmi
I think you should go with the popular network which is ethereum smart contract which I believed is the best and widely used for most the projects in cryptoshpere although there are stellar, Trx etc which are not so popular, any bug on your project can easily be fixed or rectify because of availability of experienced developers in that aspect as for stellar I wouldn't know how proficient are the experts in that field.

I think you should  check out PIGZBE (WOLO) and MOBIUS, the last time I checked those projects were doing OK with development, I am not really sure about now anyway. By the way, what made you choose stellar blockchain? I really want to know your point of view if possible and also what is your project vision?

Another Successful ICO on the Stellar network is SureRemit which raised $10,000,000 from their tokensale and whose ICO ended in February 2018.

It's not really about the blockchain you chose, it's about the quality of your project, just bear in mind that Cryptocurrency investors has lost that starry eyed wonder and don't invest in any project now simply because it has hype or because it's in a popular blockchain.
if they can manage to make it  stable in price i think its better to make a new project using stellar platform than eth. We all know what happen to eth platform almost all of the ICO lost its value even most of its is successful and raised more funds.

Are they really in the market? or just collected money? I heard this project name earlier during their ICO however, I have not seen any price action or even does it really list in the exchanges?
Yes they are still active in the market. currently it is listed on Gate.io https://www.gate.io/trade/MOBI_USDT
you can check it by yourself on coinmarketcap and coingecko, they list it.

Obviously, I had trouble finding successful projects, so I wanted to investigate MOBI. But, from what I have seen, it is in a very bad situation with a volume of $464: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/mobius/

These are the projects I have found, but I have no idea "what they are": https://icospotters.com/stellar/?etype=past
Even though it only has $464 as its total volume, but we can not change the fact that they were able to collect $30 million during the sales

Considering what you have as your signature and personal text, I can assure you that if you launch a shitcoin, no matter the Blockchain where it's launched, it would not be successful, Blockchain used to play a great role in the success of a project but that is in the past bow, projects has to really prove their worth before investors take a second look at them because investors has been rekt so many times in the past and they are being careful now.

yeah that's true... my signature is just my way of dealing with my own getting rekt by shitcoins in the past. so obviously i'm going to make sure that I'll build something "real" because I don't want other people to have my shitty experience too.

Thats not a good idea. There is a vague possibility that it might work but making anything successful on there is borderline impossible. I have seen so many ICOs bit the dust on XLM

Even on Ethereum many ICOs instantly bite the dust. The thing I want to build could be actually seen - in my opinion - as an improvement to Steller that addresses some of its shortcomings. If you remember 3lau's attempt to offer a token (called OMF - Our music festival), they chose Stellar. But now nobody is talking about it anymore. I have my theories about why it failed (or rather, went completely silent), and the network I want to build would address exactly those reasons why I believe it went silent.

Stellar is a new network. Transactions take place instantly and without commission. But initially, to register on the network you need to have (buy) 10-15 XLM. I participated in one project VIMee - SOCIAL PLATFORM, which was first on the Waves network, later the team switched to Stellar network . But now there are no trading VMX. My advice, use the Ethereum network. For investors, it's much more convenient and well-known.
