For people that don't live in a large population center Localbitcoins can be hit or miss if you are looking for a face to face transaction.
There are also people that do cash in the mail on Localbitcoins, but they either use escrow (which requires total trust with the person doing the escrow) or you have to send the cash first and hope they send you the bitcoins later.

An alternative is a 2 of 3 multi-signature transaction with an neutral arbitrator. With this type of transaction there is no trust required.
It is easy to do once you know how and the costs are negligible.

Look into it.

Check http://www.meetup.com/ to see whether there are any bitcoin groups that meet regularly in your area. You can probably find someone with whom you can trade with in an environment that is more likely secure than meeting someone off CL ... and also gives you an opportunity to learn more etc.

I just sold .25 bitcoin via cash by mail.
The buyer mailed me the cash via certified letter with signature delivery.
I used a multisig 2 of 3 transaction with a trusted member here as an arbitrator.

The multisig takes the risk of nonpayment out the system. When the cash shows up, I sign the multisig address to release the bitcoin.
If the guy doesen't mail the cash, the bitcoin does not leave the multisig address and the arbitrator is called in.
The arbitrator sees there is no proof of delivery and signs the bitcoin back to me.

Worked as smooth as butter (without the need for any arbitration).

Hey, what about this website, is it legit?
bitplastic.com

This site is a well known scam. Avoid it at all cost. This guy has a bunch of sites and they are all bogus. You can research on your own and find plenty of horror stories about this dude.

They're people here selling BTCtc for WU and MG, And they use escrow, the fees might be high but it would be same as paying cash.

Please do not give false info to newcomers.
You only get robbed if you meet in the slums.

Meet in a casino at the security desk or something similar.
You can also just buy moneypak/reloadIT/vanilla and exchange with that on LBC.

Bank deposit, wire, wu, mg...list goes on and on.
PM me if you need any help.
I never said it was definite that you would get robbed, I never said Don't do it, I said I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, because it has happened to me, even if some of the most securest places.
So stop hopping dick, and instead of just saying I 'gave' false information, You could have at least recommend other places.
You know, instead of being a douche

I would like to buy Bitcoin with cash, but I don't know anyone irl, who has Bitcoin and could sell me some. Bitinstant would let you buy it for cash through Walmart/CVS/other stores cash deposit, but it doesn't exist anymore. And Bitcoin price on eBay is just ridiculous.

I think more than 30% of the people here buys their btc in cash

might be a little hard to buy with cash if a country does not have a community of bitcoin, but cryptocurrency continues to grow in many countries.
