no doubt this is a scam.

if this works, he could just keep doubling himself and within no time, he would have trillions of bitcoin if not more! so why would he need to tell you about it?
and if he want to be such a good person about it, he can just double himself and send free btc out to people. but he is a scammer, so won't happen.

anyone that posts any hints of how this could be real, are either part of the scam or just trying to fool some less intelligent beings.

Dear owner of 1BonUSgFnTiRx1HstKeNd5dZEomBRrBN46

I recognised that your BTC address starts with 1BONUS and it just happened to cross my mind that your purpose to be born in this world should be to give away BONUS Bitcoins!
How can I be so ignorant fool to not recognise this universal truth and nothing less than a law of nature!

Anyway, I would like to apologise for my ignorance and I truly believe you're the one who will save the Earth from apocalypse.

So without wasting more of your valuable time, I would just give you my BTC address so that you can enlighten us with your precious Bitcoins:

This is strange. This address is sending its own funds to itself, paying the transaction fees.
What gives?
You should switch on advanced mode on bc.i

It does not change what I said. It is sending BTC to itself, still paying transaction fees.

Or am I missing something here?

May be he wanted to have a longer history for this address

Then he is ignorant as hell. Should have used multiple wallets.

You could have pasted the address so we could check how much he's making. I don't feel like copying it manually

Just posting the email here could be considered part of the scam, some will read this thread and give it a go.   100 people sending 0.01 to test makes it worth their while, billions of emails are sent on this premise as it only takes 1 in a million to profit

You should blank out the btc address if you dont wish to further the scheme

That's definitely a ponzi scheme, even if you get your coins back at first they're counting on greedy people to get cocky and keep putting more and more money in and then that's when they'll run off with everything.
