Gambling addiction is much worse than drug addiction I think but worse if you are both addicted to both. If addiction cannot be controlled it might result to two certain things in life. You get rich or go bankrupt, but most of the time you go bankrupt. Cry
Drug eats the body while gambling eats the mind but both cannot be compared as gambling cannot kill a person and it's more like suicide. Drugs are far more worse as the body gets addicted to it almost instantly which is not the case with gambling and at an early stage, you can withdraw your addiction.

all addiction is bad, alcohol addiction will lead into violence, drug addiction will cause severe damage to your body, but according to a wise man, gamble addiction is the worst,  if you are alcohol or drugs addicted you have a limit in a day how much you can spend your money, but with gambling you can easily spend your whole fortune

nah, i still think alcohol addiction and substance abuse are the worst form of addiction, becase in these two you are both harming yourself physically in addition to financially.
but gambling is only financial problem!

I am addicted to the internet and this I realized when I did not have access to the internet for a day and it made me feel restless. The same applies for gambling as well when we try to distract ourselves but can't stop playing a game on a dice/gambling website. Any amount we earn, we feel we can try to double or triple it and that's where we make a mistake. I can see that more than half the population of BCT is addicted to gambling.

Maybe compulsion? That's something you can control a little. Addiction is when it tips over the edge.

we know that most of the times we lost on gambling, but instead of stopping we keep on playing for the next day

after we lost, we got frustrated but we still back to play, is this called "gamble addiction"?
This is because winning is the only cure after a big loss. So people want to win but you know that with gambling the odds are always against you so you will often lose more.
Yes, the chances for the lose is much higher than the victories at there, people in the hope that they will win more so they suffer the lose frequently and continue to play in the hope. But the results comes, opposite to their thoughts.

Don't ever try your luck in gambling if your main objective is to easily get big money. This a game of chance, the longer you play the more chances you lost in the long run. So if you lost then you will chase then ruin your life.

Yep, any addiction is almost always just some means to escape from the actual problem. And more often than not, the problem really is deep with in personally for that person. If you feel you have tendencies to be hooked, you should never really try it out. Ask help from a friend, share this to them..

I think an addicted person would not think of a way on stopping what he really likes to do, he will keeps on repeating it because he doesn't have any control of his decisions and actions because he is really addicted to it, and yes he will need a help of his family or friends just to get a psychiatrist to look on his conditions right now!

Yes I would call that addiction. I do the same If I lose one day I think I'll make back the loses the next day, sometimes I win sometimes I lose. If I lose much I stop gambling for a while, maybe I have little control.

Good to know, and yes, you still have control over this. A much stronger indication of addiction is when you can't really control yourself anymore. When you say to yourself that you won't do it anymore then find yourself being in the same place all over again.

After reading the whole 5 pages i come to conclusion that, addictive or not is depend on your mindset, when you play for winning instead of having fun and you put your whole life in it that is we called it "gamble addiction"

its a really great to see there are a lot of opinions here, keep your opinions coming guys

exactly.
i don't know why i keep seeing topics here about gambling addiction!
it is not that hard to keep it under control, we are all adults here and know how to manage our money.
i have been playing different gambling games for a long time but never lost a lot because i control myself and bet wisely and not with emotions,

Well in the likes of you I think controlling your bets isn't have any problem but there are some people that are not so lucky that they end up addicted to gambling because not all people are alike and I think some have problems not like you do so they ended up addicted to gambling or other stuff to escape their very own problems I think.

Well this is how gambling addiction starts. Whenever you feel like playing again and again just because you lost your bitcoin once and when you earn something you will feel like you need yo earn more.

yes it can be said like that. but there are several categories. usually those who are severely addicted, will do anything to continue to play the gamble or to recover their losses.

but, if as you say, it could be just play for fun. after losing and later try your luck again.

Yes! I think it is really not yet in the addicted part of his gambling, it just that be careful in playing you might end up addicted in gambling that you would never realized that you already are addicted to it, in my opinion don't play just for fun but play with fear in your heart that you might end up addicted to it.

HODLing is an art, not just a word...
you will know when you are addicted to gambling, trust me on this.
it is not something that happens out of the blue, you will realize it when you couldn't control yourself and find yourself making bets for a long time each day. and when you look back and see you have lost a lot of money.

Yes I think its called addictive for sure, even if you set limits its already saying enough because if you are not addicted you do not have to set limits.
Overall a lot of people are addicted these days and its logical because of the nice profits and enjoying part it has.

Adrenaline rush also plays the part. Gambling advertisement and marketing is getting more scientific nowadays than just psychological. Everything that can add up to the excitement of gambling are factored in. True enough that even the lighting and the color and the feel of the surrounding plays a huge part.

That's so true! I've watched this episode in National Geographic about this and they quite made scientific explanations that help trigger the 'addiction' to the adrenaline that they feel when they are gambling. The lights, the sounds, the color, the staff, almost everything inside the casino is a factor to it.

Cool Awesome to know it right. Actually now that i know of it, the more i have better guard against the lure of gambling. Think about it - what do you think makes people stay there in casinos for days.
