Yes you can, that's why I spread out my risk and sold multiple listings per day with small amounts. I was selling 0.10 BTC, and at the time bitcoin was at $240. Ebay buyers pay about 50% more to use paypal. 10 listings a day and things were going well.

General consensus is that Bitcoin and Paypal don't mix well regardless of how you look at it. I sold some BTC on ebay and everything went well for me, but not everyone will have the same experience. Generally though, if someone has a very high feedback rating, they have it for a reason, not likely to get scammed by someone with over 100 feedback at 100%. Look for those people, if you must buy on ebay.

We see people at these forums every day who were scammed and found no help at all from PayPal. I would not use paypal unless I knew the person in real life and trusted them. Because if you are scammed, the police won't know what you are even talking about and PayPal has zero interest in helping you with your bitcoin problem.
