I think trading is not as profitable as before. Market has gone crazy now maybe because there are lots of new coins are popping every now and then. Personally, i choose to just hold my bitcoins for long term investment and just froze my alts and wait for the market to calm down.
It is normal and not all the time we are earning or the market always up this dump was repeatedly over a years. Trading an altcoins needs patience not a panic buying or selling, if you cant hodl you can sell the profitability is by your own risk so does earning from it starts within YOU.

Yes it is still profitable. Trading with altcoins is favorable when bitcoin is going sideways or consolidating but when bitcoin makes a big movement like rise or fall rapidly then it has a negative effect to the altcoins. This is the reason why many opt to hold their coins because with just a rumor or news, bitcoin may go up or down in thousands of dollars so for those who are successfully swing trading it then good for them. I prefer crypto trading because movements are big unlike in stock market. One week in crypto is like one year in stocks.
Trading was really profitable during the last quarter of 2017.The market was really active last year which was very profitable for traders. However, in the beginning of this year the market is a little quiet. And during these period traders still make profits thru buying the coins at a low price to be able to still get a good profit. I read that this is actually expected to happen so most of the coins now are on hold and waiting for the right time to sell at a profitable price. Patience now are important that traders should practice at this moment.

Yes bitcoin is still a lucrative in terms of trading, no matter how much price varied but expecting the price to increase again in this year. Coming to altcoins they are getting better as the day progressing, so both the bitcoin and altcoins are still profitable.
Basically altcoins are more profitable than bitcoin. Bitcoins are a good investment, but it can't go 100x or 1000 easily in a short timeframe like altcoins can especially those that are sleeping for ages, under the radar and very cheap.
Somehow, and they are still very much risky as well. I understand that we can hardly see such a huge percentage increase on bitcoin compared to altcoin where we have seen more than 5000% increase within a year alone, but who knows, anything can happen that can cause a huge surge for bitcoin and we may end up still seeing the impossible happening.As long as you know what you are doing, you are sure of your strategies, know when to get in and get out without gambling anything, and then you can really be very sure to get the best of trading. This is still a very profitable environment and there is no way you can have it all for sure, but one thing is that you can make more profit than losses if you learn.
I was a trader awhile back, I want to say about a year ago now and wanted to know what the current state of the market is for the traders that are currently trading to this day? I know a lot of the current exchanges that I used for trading, such as Poloniex, are still around but aren't really being used much as before.

Yes, trading Bitcoin is still profitable. But in order to profit much faster than normal is you need to do trading in other coins or tokens. You need to maximize your trading investments than sticking only in Bitcoin. Etherium tokens are having a fast steady growth and others start doing trading with this tokens due to its potential. They are thinking 1200 percent value that happened to Bitcoin will replicate by Etherium tokens.

Crypto currency trading is still profitable and crypto currency is just like real world trading whereby the trader have to put things like time, reading crypto news, study the market cap and trading equipment consideration in other to make a profitable trade. Yes, it is profitable if you know when to buy and sell. Altcoins will be the 'thing' during 2018 and bitcoin will slowly increase its price, this is my prediction.

Market condition rarely change in cryptocurrency except price. Cryptocurrency market is the same old system of buying and selling, FUD and FOMO, listing and delisting both new and old coin. If you have been in this market long enough you will realize that things rareky change that why you must develop your own trading style!
Absolutely correct market conditions rarely change in crypto currency because many exchange site has been raising and developed more to make the transaction are easy and fast to get the said amount due today's generation that trading bitcoin and altcoins are still profitable. trading is always profitable but the problem is lots of coins are going now,circulating coins are too many to choose what to buy then sell,even if you enrolled on those crypto tutorial still the risk of losing still indeed.so i think as of now better to Hold your coins specially bitcoins.for long term investments and for good profit I wasn't able to profit much but would like to hear how people are doing these days. If you have been in this market long enough you will realize that things rareky change that why you must develop your own trading style!

Trading is indeed profitable most especially in trading altcoins. If you're lucky enough, you'll have a chance to become a millionaire just like my friend. My friend became millionaire yesterday. He was not expecting it to happen and he can't even believe that it could possibly happen. When he saw the value of his token, he immediately sell it coz its value keeps on dropping. He didn't regret selling it coz the value his token now drops to $1 per token. He really made the right decision. And because of that, he is now one of the millionaires in bitcoin. I wanna be like him soon.
