It's a negative ROI.

+1

I'd stick with a GPU instead of a USB stick.

If BTC tanks, you can still sell the GPU and get some of your money back. I don't see anyone willing to pay anything close to today's fiat value of a USB stick if BTC tanks.

It's a different story with full blown ASICs, where the ROI is (hopefully) less than a month.

I can only imaging what is going to happen when all the KnCMiner ASIC's hit the market and are mining away...

I don't think it's worth it at the current price for the ASICMINER usb miners, given the current difficulty. Give AM some time and the prices may drop since the marginal cost of making the miners has to be pretty low - then it may be profitable to run a few of them again.

Didn't mean to spit in your face about the link sorry, I was thinking about another thread on the same subject that was a in depth tutorial on how to buy the USB from a user on the forum.

No offence taken, you need a thick skin to post on these threads. I'm having a ball  Grin

I'm having trouble finding where I can buy these little devils. Other than that asicgigahash website.
Could I get a link to that thread?

Umm, I gave it to you https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/klondike-16-chip-asic-open-source-board-preliminary-190731

Yes its hard to find the best deal, but you're pretty much on your own there, just jump into the mosh pit https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0 n

Bitcoin isn't free money, Its more like raw anarchism (with a kindly god looking over it). Satoshi, the ultimate Deist God sets it in motion, then steps out for a cup of tea, while we mortals get on with the nitty gritty for a few millenia to prove the concept, Then at the second coming ... sorry that's another thread (out of context problem) https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/i-am-the-second-coming-221411

Found it on this website, on here its 1.40 BTC (Don't know how you do that fancy shit with the sign and all)
http://www.asicgigahash.com/product/k1-nano/
But its one of them pre-order bullshits, don't know if its as long as lets say BFL or something.

Beware of scams. This is the official Klondike thread https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/klondike-16-chip-asic-open-source-board-preliminary-190731

As for that website, I'll get back to you once I've done some investigation ...
this is his announcement https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=214125.0;all BEWARE it looks very SCAMMY to me.

Use the group buys on the custom hardware board https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=76.0 not some random website.

Okay cool, thanks buddy.

If you want you can take one unit and test it )

Can someone please add a link to these usb devices? I saw some discussion here some time ago but at that point theye were not selling them one unit at a time, one had to order something like a thousand units at least AFAI remembe...r

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2025318 but there are group buys (go up a level into custom hardware threads).

NowNOT worth it IMHO, but its your call. Do the math on the ROI.

[Edit] after all I've been bleating on about the last couple of days. I put in a typo that contradicts myself. Sigh.  Sad
It might be worth it at 1.0 BTC, but not 2.0 BTC

1.So if i want to spend a quite small amount of money on mining rig, what should I be interested in? I mean that the cost of the purchase should be around 2-3 graphics cards.
2. Is USB ASIC mining worth some cash when one mines alternate cryptocurrencies?
