Even if we invest in waves the coin can't grow over night and i think the waves can't value more than Ethereum, because Ethereum is more used and always was used on ICO and a lot of people mine it.

The price doesnt bother me. What matters is the quality of the technology and how active it developers are.
I haven't seen anything interesting about the cryptocurrency. I read that it is very fast but it could be due to its low transaction volume.
The cryptocurrency is not even very decentralized.

There's always positive and negative in each projects though this coin wanted to be like ETH and they've offers platform which can be used by developers but until know it's not that much used as developers mostly used ETH platform, not sure about overrated but I agree that if project have good usable product it will be supported and hype by the community.

Waves is a middle of the pack, currently #34 in the marketplace, type of coin. Seems about right to me. Not overrated, but like many alts, down in price currently.

Bitcoin Gold, Bitcoin Diamond, etc are overrated coins in my opinion. At least Waves does 'something'.

Waves has huge community, Waves platform is open source Block chain platform for cutting edge dApps, Waves has its own DEX, In my prediction Wvws will be in top five in next year.

Basically, almost all of the altcoins are listed to a Decentralized Exchange, or what do you really means when you say, it has its own DEX? Am I mistaken? I wonder really if you are pertaining to an exchange like forkdelta, or maybe assuming that this coin is listed on a DEX? Sorry please enlighten me about it.
maybe the point is waves are coins that have good resources from the market to technology that is good enough to allow waves to continue to increase.
but in my opinion it's not enough to be able to become the top 5 in the market if investors still hesitate to invest in the wave.

Waves isn't overrated in my opinion, what we had experienced with waves till date is the real growth. Waves has got its platform and it is highly potential compared to many other altcoins. In specific I found waves grow good over last year when there is drastic price fall with bitcoin. As an user mentioned keeping hold of investment on waves will surely get you good profit in the long run.

I have heard that before with many alt and most of those alt coins now didnt met what people are expecting. So what i suggest to you if you believe on that project hold and wait. If you think project will not meet that then you have the option to sell all your assets and move to another one.

There is time for everything ! I have done somebody analysis on the market and projects which is why I said so. Here in this space it’s all about patience , sometimes some coins get pumped without any FA/TA, some get pumped with TA/FA, while some don’t even pump despite much news and work. A coin must fall into one of this category at a time. It’s all about patience.

I bought waves a while back.  I always thought waves would be big and people say it would beat ETH.  Well besides the price going up a lot when every other coin went sky high a while ago, this coin has shown no progress at all.  The price has done nothing but drop down or when other altcoins go up, it barely goes up much.  Also most ppl definitely bought waves at higher than the current price.

What confuses me is how is this possible when there are so many updates and things going with waves?  Shouldn't the price at least go up a bit?

I do not think that the Waves will show a good growth in the near future. As it seems to me, the last large increase in prices were artificial and the price of the toen will continue to fall.

I don't think Waves is the most overestimated project, but it's still one of the most overestimated, because it hasn't made much progress
it is true that there must be good news for the waves and of course there must be an update of the platform even if waves need to be able to work with several commercial companies so that it will make demand high and will increase the use of waves.

Waves is a dead coin. Taking a photograph alongside of Vitalik Buterin won't make them a good token.
The concept was good but they were never able to implement properly and they soon declared themselves the loser.
They just tried to become an easier token issuing platform while not giving focus to much more important principles.

It has to be the most redundant and un-innovative blockchain I have seen. Even tezos proves to be more worthwhile day by day with partnerships and continuous improvement on the network framework

I like Waves, and I think that this project is underrated, because it has a great usability and hugest potential for future growth. I believe in Waves.

To some extent, yes.
They are quite popular among the crypocurrencies, but they have near zero use in real life. Most of the tokens on waves platform are scam or useless.
One of the reason for their popularity may be due to it's attempt to copy what's Ethereum was doing. There were very less such project when waves started but soon many advance projects came to rival with Ethereum that made waves obsolete.

Actually I think you have well observed this. The movement up is not like we see with some altcoins like etheruem but I know that waves is still a nice project.

Waves is  huge community, huge company.Maybe we see no progress on waves this past few years but when the devs started to work on getting waves on the top it would be easy i assure you.Its just happend to be dormamt noe adays

And what would the devs possibly be waiting for when other altcoin is pumping while waves with large community platform is neither here nor there.

Waves is still a good coin, there's be a hype before saying that they can beat ETH that's why the price its price pumps high but right now there's no big progress at all. Its normal for a new coin to say they can beat the top coins that's the way to attract investors before, but of course if there's more coin to be made under waves platform for sure they its possible. If there will be more good coins under waves, then a chance to place on top is high but right now its more on a shitcoins and ended up a scam project.

It is not like that some coins take more time and can give growth trends at their own unique time period, i do agree with you on price point and i think waves should have been better value wise because i rate it much bigger and better than many alt projects and i think it is both under rated and under valued at the time.

Waves have one of the biggest communities in crypto and they all love their coins. But i started to think they are not buying it because waves never care pumps on the crypto market. Is it overrated, not sure.
