XRP is very centralized cryptocurrency with great marketing. Their marketing strategy is the best what ripple has at all. Don't think XRP would become more than $0.35 at 2018.

With billion of xrp in the hand of few people, your money is as good as nothing. It certainly not a good thing to directly pay for individual's wealth through promise of you been rich.

XRP is the one of the shittiest scam altcoins to ever exist. Controlled by some major players, this coin was always looked down apon by the first people to comment about the coin, due to the way they handled themselves on these forums.

Despite their burn of the tokens they held, it's still a ponzi-scheme coin.

This a total BS.  XRP is an excellent investment. a Year ago invested 1K now its 20K. Numbers do not lie. If this is shitty, then I am in love with shitty:)
Ripple with be $1.5 by 2018

I think XRP is about to hit some mainstream adoption numbers.

I talk about what this might look like in terms of volume, as well as the reasons driving this change.

Hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave any feedback here!

No, just no.... XRP is the bankers coin. If u follow world events, then u know the banks are going away. People will be their own banks staking coins in their own wallets, getting loans from cryptos like SALT, paying using TenX or Centra or atomic swaps. The banks are dead, and may they rest in piss.

Eventually, XRP will hit 1 dollar

They have the technology, security, the team and the structure to succeed it.

XRP moves when nobody expects it and the hype takes the price to a different level each time.

Just remember a few weeks ago when they just posted 3..2..1 on Twitter and the price almost double!

Imagine if they have real news of banks starting to use it in Japan. I am scared of what can happen! It can even surpass the $1 price tag in less than 24 hours when a news like that comes out.

If there is some scam or scheme in it, nobody can really know!

All I know is that they know how to promote, they have a product and they are competing in a sector (BANK INDUSTRY) that is completely controlled by only one company called SWIFT. Why not succeed? Facebook did it Apple did it and other companies did it.

I know it sounds too much, but imagine if indeed XRP goes Mainstream. A price tag of $10 is possible!

Do your study and you will understand why everyone hates it.

If people hate it, it doesn't mean it won't succeed! Don't forget that!

I agree with you, XRP will reach 2$ by the end of this year

Yes, I believe in XRP, yes i hold some coins, yes, i want it to pump  Roll Eyes

But serious - they work much on the Project and we see developments continuesly as well as ongoing Marketing all over the world.
Sure, Banks could hire their own devs for a blockchain Project - but wouldn't it be much easier (and cheaper!) to use a fully developped Project?  Wink

I don't believe in XRP - There are plenty of banks looking into blockchain solutions themselves with their own hired developer team, it won't then be very suprising to see collabs between banks to share their innovation. I don't really think XRP has any place in that.

(To me anyway) This is like saying "Banks can just develop their own operating system.  Why would they look into Microsoft or Apple?"

Microsoft and Apple don't offer financial solutions or products...

Ripple quite possibly will go mainstream, however I do not think it will rise to much in price when it does. I see a $1 max at best. I have a bazillion ripple in my portfolio which I will sit on for many years. While a coin is being developed and the project is moving forward there is no reason to lose heart in it.

There is a lot of hate for xrp, you know the usual fud "pre-mined crap", "scammy scam", but these people fail to see the future of crypto and what the development of the blockchain/btc has unleashed on the world......... and will continue to morph into different makes, uses and implementations. The future has passed these guys and they don't realise it.

For me it sounds like someone is making some marketing here  Cheesy
I have neutral opinion regarding to XRP token, don't own any and not sure if will do.

Welcome to BCT. Everyone has his own agenda here.  Cheesy

The only agenda I have is to announce my blog for any readers that are interested.  I know its old-fashioned, but reading blogs and other sources of information can reveal valuable insights that may challenge the ones you already had.

All of my information in the blog is well-sourced; feel free to double-check any of my information or numbers, or challenge any of my assumptions.  I welcome a dialogue that is focused on critical thought and feedback.

Definitely  Tongue.  I have seen how XRP were pumped up from 100 satoshi to 20k satoshi, now where is it today?  I see there is new development about to released by the dev but this does not warrant us that it will be use by bank (xrp itself)  I think OP is luring people to believe that XRP really have a great future which is possible since the market is controlled by the developer.  In a sense, that majority of the coins will be controlled by the developer in due time.

8. How many Ripples will there be?

The company plans to ultimately create 100 billion ripples. Half of those are to be released for circulation, while the company plans to retain the other half.

However, the network creators usually only keep a fraction of the tokens for themselves, pre-selling the rest to anyone that wishes to buy some. Ripple, however, still owns about 60% of the originally issued tokens. This raises a few issues.

JoelKatz has countered all of these points methodically; unfortunately coindesk did not publish his response!

Yeah, I think Ripple is going to be mainstram in the next couple of years. We just need to wait for bitcoin to get more popular, after this coins like XRP can grow up with bitcoin at the bull runs!

Many times in past one year we have come across articles that xrp is next mainstream but I really dont know when is this going to actually happen. I personally think that it is much stable coin so you won't really see it exploding immediately. It is going to increase steadily throughout years.
