I made a lot of good trades on Yobit, is not a scam. But the support is not really efficient... You have to wait a little time to get an answer.
Definitely check the block explorers to see how the transaction is going. I have also heard Yobit termed the roach motel of exchanges. Coins check in but sometimes they dont check out. I hope your transaction goes through and you get your coins.
first of all check one of the ethereum block explorers to make sure your transaction is out there and see if it is confirmed or not. ETH network is very congested these days and in the past transactions have actually disappeared just like that from the face of the internet!
second if your transaction was confirmed then simply send Yobit your transaction ID and ask them to fix the issue. it usually is fixed in 48 hours. i have had similar problems specially when ETH network is at its worse.
and finally avoid Yobit if you can use any other exchange. i wouldn't say scam but they are pretty shady.

It' s not a scam, but they are very slow! I know from personal experience. Might be useful to contact them
I would really suggest to trade only on the reliable exchange such as Polonix, Bittrex and Coinbase.
I also haven't used yobit ever before but if you have got transaction id, check it on etherscan.io. However you should wait atleast 24 hours, may be their system pushes the transaction to network during that time. If the problem remains same even after 24 hours, you can create a support ticket and their is nothing abiut worry, yobit is a trusted largest exchange , they will help you to sort out issue

even 0 "awaiting deposit".
Is that normal?

If you can wait for 12 hours , if there is still no show on the yobit website, you can contact their customer service, we can believe yobit, yobit this web site is a reliable website. I'm not really sure but someone I know is having some problems with that trading platform weeks ago. I am not sure if his problem has been solved already as I haven't heard from him. Did you try contacting their support or their social media platforms to reach out? Hope they'd be able to solve this soon.
