I was a bit curious as well if there is any update on this
Since its been around a week since the end of the conference and there should have been sufficient time for some articles to come out and be written about it.
There's been some coverage about particular sessions in dcmagnates, e.g.
http://dcmagnates.com/bitcoin-research-courses-and-satoshis-white-paper-academics-weigh-in-at-inside-bitcoins-tel-aviv/
http://dcmagnates.com/crypto-next-announces-white-label-offering-at-inside-bitcoins-tel-aviv-reportedly-signs-contracts-with-several-exchanges/

And some coverage in Hebrew, e.g.
http://www.telecomnews.co.il/סיכום-אירוע-Inside-Bitcoin-הרגולציה-הישראלית-עוד-לא-מבינה-במה-מדובר.html

I don't know of more than that though.

Hey, how was this? Is there a set of transcripts of the speakers? Hope it all went well!
It was very cool! We had about 260 participants, which is a bit lower than our initial expectations but still very nice. We received overwhelmingly positive feedback about the agenda and organization.

What exactly do you mean regarding the transcripts?
Like, perhaps, a recap of events or some sort of video footage that one could view. A list of speakers and what they discussed and perhaps any tangible growth in the related market on the horizon in said community.
The event just ended today so most journalists haven't published their reports yet. When they do I think much of it will be in Hebrew.

We will release the video footage once we finish editing, which should take at least a few weeks.

The list of speakers and what they intended to talk about is at http://bitcointlv.com/en/Agenda/All-Sessions, it should be similar to what they ended up talking about in practice.

That is exactly what I mean. I was just curious about what topics are of interest in Israel.
Thanks!

It never really works out that way - right?

Well, I am real happy nobody got blown up.  It was good that you changed the date to protect participants from Palestinian missiles and gas.  Thanks for that.

September 30 (today in my timezone) is the last day for the current pricing tier. If you haven't purchased your ticket yet, now is a good time.
I am a Palestinian.  Can you help me get a boarder pass?
I have no idea about that, but you can send an email to [email protected] and we'll see if we can figure something out.

The early bird price will end on Sunday, August 31, and move up to the next level of roughly $200. With the conflict in Israel finally over, now is a great time to sign up to this exciting event. Don't miss out!

P.S. I think we have actually had a chance to talk once before. I believe we shared a flight to L.A. from the bitcoin event in San Jose and we met on the shuttle.
I recall that on the flight to LA I chatted with Yoni Assia (CEO of eToro), it was in Hebrew but we said "Bitcoin" a lot so someone deduced we're heading back from the conference and approached me. Was that you?

I thought it was on the shuttle to the plane or something. But I think that's me. I heard something like "bla-bla-bla bitcoin bla-bla". lol
Could be, I think maybe you heard us on the shuttle to the plane and caught me as we were disembarking. But it could have gone any number of ways...

I hope that the middle east crisis allows this conference to proceed as planned this time
Thanks for the update saw it in the other thread so thought I would monitor this one as well.

Any idea who will be speaking at the conference or are the speakers the same ones from July just delayed a few months.
Too soon to tell. We'll try to have the agenda resemble the original one. The speakers from Israel will of course attend the new date and give more or less the originally planned lectures. As for speakers from overseas, some of them have confirmed joining for the new date, others haven't yet. We also hope to get a few more speakers who couldn't make it to the original date, but able with the new one.

It's fun to visit with other bitcoiners, and it has become part of any trips I make abroad.
For me that's not a problem, as my only trips abroad are to Bitcoin conferences Smiley

Hey Meni,
I don't want to hijack your thread, but I have a quick question. I can't make it in Oct., however I will be in the region in Dec. Do you guys have regular meetings somewhere? I would love to meet up with some bitcoin peers in Jerusalem when I visit.

-Cheers
Indeed we do! We have a very active Meetup group (and associated forum thread) with a variety of activities. The flagship meetup is biweekly lectures on various Bitcoin topics. These are usually hosted in a venue provided to us by Google's Tel Aviv offices. We also have a physical hub in Tel Aviv for the Bitcoin community, the Bitcoin emBassy, where you can always find Bitcoin people, and which has designated gathering times twice a week.

Most of the activity is in Tel Aviv, if you'll be in Jerusalem specifically, there are some Bitcoiners there who will be happy to meet up, and we can try to organize a larger meetup at the time of your visit.
Oh wow, that's great. I didn't know there was such an active bitcoin community. I will probably only have enough time to make it to Jerusalem, but I will look into Tel Aviv. As the date draws closer I will make more specific plans. It's fun to visit with other bitcoiners, and it has become part of any trips I make abroad. Thank you for the info and I hope your event goes well.
