Indeed the current market conditions make a lot of despair felt by many people, especially investors and traders. But for those who are able to survive and do not choose to surrender, I am sure they will receive good rewards in the future.

Holding will be a bad choice only if you have chosen a wrong/shitcoin. Because, only such coins will not recover at any time soon. But, really all of us have learned very big lessons in 2018. But I'm not sure how many of us going to use those lessons for investing at least from here after. Repeating same mistakes will not bring any changes in profit making with crypto investments. We must make use of the lessons they have learned, otherwise we just need to move on without any profits.

I agree with OP’s thoughts, the yearlong dip causes disappointment in many investors especially the new comers of crypto. However, I think if you have strong faith in crypto, the dip will not influence your decision to stay and benefit in the long run.

Since the first time I joined Bitcoin, there have been many experiences that I have gotten up to now. Facing falling market prices like now, you have to remain confident with the coins that have been held, if you hold a bitcoin then you will feel calm because even though there is a decrease in the price of bitcoin it is still the highest among altcoins. Make the opportunity for prices to go down to buy and only buy coins that really have a future.

Year 2018 seems to have the most prolonged dip from what i have seen so far. Some people had serious loss along the line; some vowed never to invest in cryptocurrency again; some sold all their assets and left.
Your encounters though might seem not encouraging, but do you know that you are better of than the person that is just coming in, because of what you now know.

I am still believe cryptomarket will still exist and growing bigger in near future. Its new investment and the age of cryptomarket still 9 years. Still young to say will die and i am believe crypto market cap will reach trillion dollar in the future
Some people could not stand such a fall and lost money and left crypto. We can understand them too. Perhaps it will be better, because crypto is not for the faint-hearted people. But I think, that those who remained not regret about this.

2018 seems to be a very bad year for electronic money, most people lose their money. However, just be patient, everything will be good in 2019. When the market comes back, we will celebrate together to win.
