I find your last sentence very accurate and that's what I thought about when reading your post before finding that line.
When you see statistics, it is clear that Inter and Juventus have the best defence line and one of the best attack line too with a clear advantage for Inter and less for Juventus. In fact Juventus scored less goals than teams like Milan, Roma, Napoli Fiorentina and Atalanta but they received less goals than them.
Next round, Juventus will face Inter which means that the gap might increase between these teams since I find Inter better.

Juventus has been known to win titles mostly with their strong defense for a very long time and Inter Milan has this quality, too. Inter has more often a game when they score like 3 goals, but they are also able to win their games with just a single goal difference. In the end it doesn't even matter how many goals Juventus will score, they can still have a fair chance to win it against Inter Milan if they can preserve their consistency with their defensive performances. All I can say about the new coach is that he's doing everything he can to keep strong and capable of leading his squad to more ambitious heights this season. The Parthenopeans must be patient with him because it is not a simple assignment for a coach to be signed by an elite that is lacking in coach and form. He is rebuilding his own game system in Napoli, which is exactly what Luciano Spalleti did when he was appointed as Napoli boss during his prime. The monitoring from the management must continue. No reason to call that napolis playing good or bad. We will see that the real result at the end of season then management can start to think whether rudi needs to be sacked by the club.

AC Milan has not won any Seria A game in four consecutive matches. It is quite terrible to see them lose a two-goal advantage to get a draw in the game with Lecce. Stefano Pioli has done a good job on the team but it seems they have started losing form. I know they have a busy schedule but there is a need to improve their performance for them to maintain their position. Napoli is also facing the same inconsistency problems. Milan lost so many points in their last 4 matches. They got 2 defeats and 2 draws so there were 10 points wasted because their performance was inconsistent. I don't think Milan is fully ready to fight for the Serie A title this season based on its current form, but this can still be improved although I tend to believe Inter or Juventus will win the Scudetto this season.

I hope Milan can return to their best form after returning from the international break. They have a match against Fiorentina, but it is not an easy match to hope for victory for Milan. Fiorentina has also been inconsistent in its last 5 matches, but Milan certainly needs to be careful and needs to work hard to stop its bad trend.

This inconsistent display of football cannot go on for too long with milan if they are to play fine football some changes must be made as immediate. Pioli has dropped form and the approach used to begin the league is no more. Performance and strength and mentality has dropped too much. They have no big hopes of making it out of the champions league.
The coach may be the next that will be sacked and if done there will be a new appointment or interim coach until the season ends. The defenders are not strong enough they have conceded too much and that must be addressed.
