I personally still don't believe Napoli will be able to defend the title, even if for example Spalletti is still Napoli head coach this season. Because after all, defending the title is not an easy matter, so Napoli decline this season remains a reasonable result in my personal view. I hope, we can't just think, because Spalletti left it makes a lot of speculation continue to link Spalletti success last season. I think that's also inaccurate because after all, only certain teams and certain coaches which have great potential to maintain their success from season to season. But about  Spalletti, because he doesn't seem to have a long history of defending titles or trophies, then I don't think he has a good chance in the long term either.
Yes, I agree with you, it is difficult to defend the Scudetto title even though the Napoli squad has not undergone any changes. Of course, other Serie A clubs will try to increase their strength every season, so that competition will increase in terms of competitiveness. Spalletti achievements with Napoli were truly phenomenal, he managed to win the trophy after fans had waited quite a long time. The change in position in Napoli coaching chair, and the sale of several players in the transfer market, have been factors in the decline in Napoli performance this season.

Even though Napoli are not too bad this season, I don't think Rudi Garcia squad is at the level of Milan and Inter in many ways. Talking about Napoli, there is still a very good chance of winning Serie A again, but of course extra work and performance improvement is needed to be consistent to create a positive trend.

If Napoli wants to defend the league title then they need to improve their performance. I will actually say that only eight matches have been played and there is still a very long way to go in this season. So even though the start has not been ideal for them, they can still improve their performance and turn things around.

But they will have to be consistent and they will also have to win against big opponents. The performance that they have shown so far, does not indicate that they will be able to improve their performance quickly.

Another thing is, let's remember that the coach is new. So he will probably also need a little time to actually settle down with the club.

You are right. Napoli did increase Osimhen's transfer price in the transfer market yesterday which made many big clubs not even want to approach him. Because I don't remember any big clubs fighting to get Osimhen in the transfer market yesterday after Osimhen's rates became high.

But rumors about the interest of many big clubs in bringing in Osimhen are very much being discussed. But I haven't seen anyone seriously want to get it. And currently Osimhen is actually giving a much better performance after the TikTok video incident. As if Osimhen proved that he is still a good player.

I don't think there are many clubs who are serious about bidding for Osimhen, this is also related to the player's statement that he still wants to stay at Napoli. and he has just won a trophy, of course he has the ambition to get some more with Napoli.
But next season Napoli might be able to let him go to a big club who is willing to bid high. the price is already high, but negotiations can be done. Osimhen certainly wants to get other experience at a bigger club. I'm sure the next club for Osimhen after Napoli will definitely be a big club. he is still a player with good skills, there will be many clubs interested in him.
There was and it's newcastle but 100m bid from newcastle has been rejected by napoli. This is why im feeling doubt if napoli was willing to approve osimhen to leave from the club. Winning scudetto was nothing. Napoli will not get any this season. The performance has been declining so hard compared with the last season. Napoli is not willing to let him go out and it was making the team who has interest in recruiting him must have paid a lot of money for him.
That's why osimhen's price is likely to increase but don't know if osimhen itself will be pushing napoli to decrease his price. In fact, osimhen has not yet talked about his future.
I saw that if chelsea is also interesting to recruit him as a new striker but this is still a rumor. Chelsea can still change its mind anytime. It's caused by we are still far away from winter transfer season.

Napoli management are not interested in possibly keeping Osimhen with the squad next season. The main reason for this is that Napoli will be able to make a very high profit by selling Osimhen. There are not many clubs who can afford to sign Osimhen. Because Napoli are demanding big money for OSimhen. We might see Osimhen with Real Madrid or PSG. If Mbappe leaves PSG next season, PSG management will try their best to add OSimhen to the squad. Manchester United, Liverpool or Arsenal management may also try to add Osimhen to the squad.

This season, things seem to be getting more difficult for Napoli. Last season, Napoli was able to concentrate on the Champions League because they already had enough points in Serie A. So even though at the end of the season Napoli suffered several defeats, it didn't disturb their concentration at all. Because the difference in Napoli's points last season was so big compared to other clubs. But this season, Napoli seems to be having difficulties in Serie A. So I feel that Napoli will also have more difficulties in the Champions League. And one more thing that I observed from Napoli is the decreasing level of self-confidence of its own players. Last season they always seemed to enjoy the game. But this season they don't seem to be enjoying the game at all. They look more anxious when playing. So several errors often occur. If Napoli lose Osimhen then it will be a very real nightmare for Napoli. So no matter what, they will definitely try to maintain it. But all decisions are in Osimhen's hands. If he is already uncomfortable then no one will be able to stop him from leaving the club.
In the previous season, Napoli also lost many of the good players they had. And if this season Napoli also loses Osimhen then I think this team will really get weaker. But if Osimhen could be appreciated more then I think Osimhen might stay. Unless there is another club ready to pay for his transfer from Napoli. But we know that Napoli set a very high price for Osimhen's transfer. And this is what made many clubs withdraw from the hunt for Osimhen. And I think Napoli will do the same to keep Osimhen.

But Napoli may run out of convincing arguments for Osimhen to stay with them. If they play a weaker season now and don't make it very far in the Champions League, Osimhen may have his own aspirations for his career that are not perfectly aligned with the potential Napoli can offer. Last season was not only a prime moment for Osihmen, but for the whole team. This season they are all performing below their levels from last season. Every single player individually, but also the team. Napoli still isn't Real Madrid or Manchester City where winning is really all that counts and after this spectacular Serie A performance I think everyone knew that this will be a difficult season for them.

Lautaro Martínez continue to make goal and goal, is on 10! Like Osimhen of previous year. Osimhen is on 6 goals, in 2nd position.
It seems lik that lautaro will make gap even bigger. I just heard that if osimhen will not be playing for some weeks due to the hamstring injury and this has been confirmed by napoli regarding his injury. There are 4 goals gap between lautaro and martinez. I think that if lautaro can make it at least 10 goals gap to the osimhen which is now placing at the second spot. It's caused by lautaro has several weeks to scores as many goals as possible. Im happy to see osimhen injured and i hope this will last till the end of season.
Napoli will not have someone who can play as good as him as a striker. This time for napoli goes down to the earth. The duo milan seem lose one more competitor cuased by its main striker was injured.
Napoli has left from the title race at this moment. This club was fucking nothing without osimhen. Im happy with it. Please someone shall tell osimhen to back his comeback at the end of this season.
Let intermilan to take the scudetto back this season. Intermilan is ready in competing with ac milan for the title race.

Well it is one reason that Osimhen decided to stay with Napoli because he was offered significantly improved conditions, but another reason was the high transfer fee that Napoli wanted. He is a great striker, but in my opinion clubs like Real Madrid were hesitant because Osimhen is not Mbappe and yet Napoli wanted at least 160 million I think? It was a very high amount and while it is almost guaranteed that a player like Mbappe will deliver, I believe there was more doubt about the long-term performances that could be expected from Osimhen. Since prices are inflated anyway because of the clubs from Saudi Arabia paying those high fees, it is still a tough decision to make for any club from Europe to pay so much money for a player lik Osimhen.
It's normal to agree to a long term deal because of the promises made before the contract, this is most common amongst player's not only osimhen but then if the conditions promised is no longer met, it's very fine that the player leaves if they decide to, especially if the term of the contract is due, Napoli in recent times have not been really fair to osimhen as they do before now and it's affecting his productivity.

They are definitely increasing the price for his sale so as to keep him back probably after many bids from other team who are unable to pay they jus have to let go and he will stay back but then I don't think that will really be the case. I think osimhen will be better for Madrid as compared to mbappe, osimehen is a striker who's position is more likely at Madrid than mbappe, we have the likes of Jude who plays the same position as mbappe so buying him , he will most likely not have a place to play.

Can you further elaborate on that? I am not aware of any problems caused by Napoli that gave Osimhen a harder time to perform well. The fact that he is prone to injuries is just what it is, sometimes it is genetics and sometimes it is the players's lifestyle that impacts their well-being on and off the pitch. I doubt that Osimhen has many reasons to complain about or what are you referring to concretely?

I think more often than not it is the players who should be blamed for being greedy and unprofessional. The money they are paid these days is disproportionate by any means if compared to hard working people. Napoli trusted Osimhen and turned him into a top striker. They have been trusting and supporting him for more than 3 years now and if he thinks that he should be earning more money, well then he should try to leave the club and not sign any contract extensions. He has been missing quite a few games and yet they counted on him all the time.

Napoli keel praising Victor Osimhen in all angles because he's the key top striker for the team, he's consistent in delivering the team in difficult moments but I doubt if Real Madrid would scouts in the race to sign him in the January transfer window. We know how well balance the Nigeria striker is but lacks this long-term availability like other strikers, last season was his prime moment when he lifted the scudetto with the Naples and earned accolades as the highest goal scorer on the Seria A leaderboard. Victor Osimhen is vulnerable to injuries and doesn't stand in the right position to enchanced his personal performance.

But Napoli may run out of convincing arguments for Osimhen to stay with them. If they play a weaker season now and don't make it very far in the Champions League, Osimhen may have his own aspirations for his career that are not perfectly aligned with the potential Napoli can offer. Yes, if Napoli don't get anything this season, Osimhen most likely will be released to another club. Because indeed Osimhen may not continue his service at Napoli, considering also previously he felt disappointed with that club. Not only this season Napoli will have difficulties but maybe also next season if Osimhen leaves, especially now that their coach is not Spalletti.

I have the same opinion as you @borovichok, doubting Real Madrid in recruiting Osimhen. Real Madrid may be involved in recruiting Mbappe, because if Mbappe does not sign a new contract, PSG will allegedly sell him at a low price in the January. But if Osimhen price is lowered to below 100m perhaps Real Madrid will consider him.

I think Osimhen is not thinking about the future at the moment, Meaning he is required to maximize his best performance with Napoli. He should not be too selfish about what is happening at the moment and osimhen must also be professional with his contract, that is, he does not have to give many options regarding his future before the transfer market opens. This season we think his performance has dropped drastically compared to last season so if his performance is bad I think many big teams will consider making an offer for him in the winter transfer window.

Apart from that, Rudi Garcia has had quite a big influence on Napoli decline in performance this season. Under his coaching, napoli were considered less powerful in Serie A this season, So his coaching chair started to shake if he couldn't make many changes until the first half of this season. With their status as defending champions this season, Of course napoli has become a hot topic of discussion regarding their performance in defending their title this season.

Alot of teams would be dying for Osimhen’s signature because he is one of the hottest strikers around currently and having him in a team would make opposition defenders scared. The premier league is a very challenging league but Osimhen is strong enough to withstand all the pressure and challenges, he is fighter and would want to leave a mark in England also. I don’t think he would fail in the premier league and seeing him going head to head with Haaland and Hojlund will make the league even more interesting.
Yes, of course, I even heard that Real Madrid was approaching them. Osimhen became an extraordinary player at Napoli with achievements that contributed greatly, bringing Napoli to win Serie A last season. Not to mention that he is still relatively young. So of course many clubs will not target him if he intends to leave Napoli later.

Indeed, this season, Osimhen doesn't seem as optimal as before when playing with Spalletti. There are many rumors, especially regarding the new coach. Whereas previously, Osimhen was really determined to be at Napoli, a club that has made his name even more soaring, yes of course this is a symbiotic mutualism. However, this condition is quite different after the change of coach. Maybe they still need a little more time to be really solid.

If they really managed to convince him, Napoli officials should be congratulated. I still think he will be transferred to the Premier League and be successful there.
They have convinced him to stay once and they were successful so this time around it may be a bit difficult to convince him, last time they did they won the league and the play was interesting all the players played so well and he never expected the head coach to resign if not I doubt if he was going to stay back. Everything changed when the coach left and football is difficult and different with the new coach and if there is no improvement by the end of the season and a team comes with a serious bid I think he would leave the club and the more reason could be the saga that happened between him and the fans.

If that could happen to Osimhen, it would actually be even more interesting to see him in the Premier League, because a player whose career has improved so much in a league, of course there will be those who want to accept him there with a pretty good reception. But for now I still don't think that this will happen, except during the season because previously Osimhen had also signed a long-term contract at Napoli. So it might be more complicated for Osimhen to let go of Napoli.

That's right Osimhen is a good striker, there is no doubt at all. But what is doubtful is his injuries, this player prone injuries, so indeed the price Osimhen is very high. In previous transfer windows Napoli keeping Osimhen by playing his value, so there are no club has found common ground to recruit Osimhen, later in the January transfer window I think Napoli will raise Osimhen price again.
Apart from having the opportunity to earn a lot of money, Napoli also don't want to lose their best striker, because with Osimhen in the Napoli team they have a high chance of getting at least a UCL ticket.

I think Osimhen will leave the team. The problem he experienced would be the turning point in his Napoli career. If they really managed to convince him, Napoli officials should be congratulated. I still think he will be transferred to the Premier League and be successful there.

The Premier League is built for strong,  intelligent players like Osimhen. Arsenal and Man United have shown interest, Chelsea too wants a good player that will score more than twenty league goals in a season so they can compete for the first four clubs that qualifies for the Champions league.
Napoli difficulty to defend the tittle  will lead Victor Osimhen to another club. If a club meets the demands he will be sold still. Napoli are good with selling and buying,  they will let go if Osimhen wants a change.
He has scored six league goals even if the season still has much matches unplayed.

It looks like Madrid is more interested in recruiting Mbappe, and Osimhen may be one of their options, although I think both strikers are quite ideal for Los Blancos. Talking about price, I think we all know that these two strikers are being charged exorbitant prices by their respective clubs, only a few clubs are able to redeem their contract clauses, although in other speculation Mbappe could leave on a free transfer in June 2024.

Napoli is in inconsistent performance in Serie A, as is PSG in Ligue 1. Considering that both clubs are very dependent on their stars, I think both clubs will have difficulty finding a suitable replacement. This will automatically make it more difficult for them to get points in every match, even though in the end Napoli and PSG can return to complete stability. Speculation is very diverse, let's just wait when the transfer market opens again.

So it might be more complicated for Osimhen to let go of Napoli.

Osimhen had signed a long-term contract with the club because he was convinced and promised higher salaries and some attractive offers. One thing about footballers is that if they don't feel appreciated by their club and are given a better or less attractive offer somewhere with a positive reception, they won't hesitate to join the new team if it would improve their career chances and provide them with enough playing time. The long-term deal Osimhen signed does not prevent him from leaving the club if he so desires, and the team interested in him is ready to pay for him. As far as I understand, Osimhen stay in Napoli is coming to an end soon and he won’t spend the remaining years left in his contract with Napoli before he leaves to join new team.

Premier league is not a great place for a striker if you ask me, I mean sure there are some great ones there but usually it is not all that great. I believe he could have been great at Bayern, he is young and they needed a strike rand got Kane instead, Kane has been amazing so far but how long could he do that, Osimhen is young, he could have been better, and I wouldn't go to Serie A neither they are defense oriented as well, so the only one left would be La Liga.

Imagine putting Osimhen at the striker position of Real Madrid, that would be ideal setup for him and he would do amazingly. We would definitely see him do wonders and it will definitely end up being one of the best there is.

I think it should be noted that they are in need of a striker is a big emphasis because they really do not have any pure strikers aside from Joselu, who is not even remotely talented enough for that team. If Osimhen leaves, he should go to Real and they should ignore Mbappe, who keeps causing trouble.
