I know Roma are struggling right now but I least expected that they would lose to a weak side like Genoa. Funny thing is, they began the goal scoring. Watched the highlights and couldn't help being disappointed at how weak and porous the defense of Mourinho's men was. Even Genoa's first goal made it so obvious. Their game against Frosinone was something to redeem themselves with but they are two places below them. If they want to get back to winning ways, they'd need to put in more work and cooperation. Im also glad to see Lukaku adapting at his new club and 3 goals in 3 matches seems like n impressive record to start a season with and with these stats he has shown he can help Roma cover the void created by Tammy Abraham who picked an injury in the closing match last season.
The decline in performance experienced by AS Roma is quite significant, but what can be said, luck has not been on their side, especially Jose Mourinho. Even though he is known as a coach with a lot of experience, this season Mourinho has not been able to find the right formula for his squad to consistently get points in every match. There are actually many factors that could be used as a reason for this setback, but what is certain is that Roma must look forward and focus on getting out of this bad situation.
Losing to a relatively weak opponent like Genoa is embarrassing, but I think Mourinho really understands what he has to do in the next match. Mourinho still has the full trust of the owner and management of Roma, an opportunity that Mourinho should not waste, because on the other hand, fans hope that improvement will immediately be realized in the form of 3 points.
