AS Roma does have the potential to finish in the top 3. But I think a 3rd place would be the maximum achievable for this team. They don't have a bad team, but they can't become champions. The top in Italian football is very strong. The title fight is probably between Napoli, AC Milan and Inter. I can't think of any other teams that can seriously claim the national championship in the current situation. This month Napoli have gotten tougher opponents to test their consistency in Serie A. Especially after the defeat to Inter Milan which made Napoli have to be careful in the upcoming matches. Napoli will face Sampdoria before they face Juventus. one mistake will make their point distance closer to the rival team below. Napoli have indeed been fasting for the Scudetto title for a long time so they may lose balance a little when they have to fight with big teams like when they were defeated by Inter Milan.
