I wouldn't say it's because of desperation, yes they've become the ground zero, but we have to understand that Red Cross is a Humanitarian Organisation, so they are committed to protect every Italian citizen and one way to do it is thru our donations

Every country will became Italy if they don't move swift to prevent loss of human lives. So it's better for everyone to just stay home, and for those infected, isolate yourself so that you won't infect others. Stay safe everyone.

Good thing Italian RedCross are indeed accepting crypto. Sincr they are hopefully many crypto enthusiasts are open up their hearts to this and donate as they accept bitcoin and even altcoin.

Italy is really facing the great burden because of the virus. They have even higher deaths compared to other countries. We have to admit the power of Bitcoin in this situation. This project of Red Cross is very much helpful in providing extra care and assistance to the medical field. At this very moment we should be exercising compassion and generosity by way of donating even with a small amount of Bitcoin because it will still matter. Maybe all branches of Red Cross in othe countries could adopt the same thing because it will make a very big difference.

Not all countries have the option to donate in their respective Red Cross via crypto. But the good thing here is that they are now recognizing the power of btc transaction in situation like this. No third party interference. Just send some satoshis to their wallet from your wallet and that's it. I hope there is something like that also in my country where we are also currently lockdown. I guess we are all in lockdown.

With the condition of the economic weakening of the euro against the dollar, it will certainly be a very good impact if Europe can accept bitcoin to combat Covid-19 of course this is also a tool to stabilize the price of the euro against the USD given the pace of the economies of European countries in recent weeks indeed very weak because of the lockdown that occurs, hopefully this is also applied by some countries that have been exposed to corona

That’s good. In my country it’s not like that, the red cross in my country is only accepting MasterCard, Visa, and PayPal. Though that’s not something I’m worried, they can accept whatever they want, I believe that’s a method they are convenient with and it makes things easy for them.

So, a few times that I have donated to them that wasn’t of concern to me, I just donate with my MasterCard card. But it’s good that the organization in Italy is recognizing bitcoin and allowing people to make payment with it. I know for sure that some people who make use of bitcoin will feel motivated to donate, there are lots of people who are looking for this kind of opportunity of using their BTC for good.

I guess the initial was just a test $10000 worth of bitcoin was not that but. And then think they that it might work to get more people to donate in the cause, and what better way to do it but to utilise crypto currency again. I agree that it should be adapted by other countries, but majority are really fighting very hard that's why we haven't seen them readily accepting bitcoin as donations.

Bitcoin really has step up in the times of crisis, in this type of situation switching to Cryptocurrency is the most convenient thing to do rather than using local paper money possibly endangering their very lives with physical transaction and getting infected with the virus and also we'll expect the employment rate to drop. Those who have extra money can donate without any hesitation, but if your budget is only enough for your needs and the people around you then its ok to prioritize your own country. No need actually for BTC donation if you really want to help. Just go to their website and check if what's the most convenient way for you to donate in fiat.

You mentioned you can't get outside? Is that because of the virus and your place is currently under the quarantine? If yes then I think it's better if you donate instead in your place. I know you want to give hands to Italy but let the rest of the world do it and lend a hand to your community instead.

I think Italy will tell you the same and they will appreciate your desire to help.

I think bitcoin is now on the world map to be an acceptable mode of payment all we need are those global market places to accept it too and we are golden.
