I really need to quite the entire thread so that anybody seeing my comment under won't say I'm gradually running craze or what's even funny over their.
 
It's indeed something laughable, as I just laughed myself out loud, that my kids always have to turn and look at me, as if something is wrong with me or if I'm watching a comedy video.

This can sound like a joke but it's not if someone should read meanings into the spoken word about gambling who sold their car for bike. This wouldn't sound like a joke to an addicted gambler, who has lost more than he can afford. Those who will take this as a joke are those who are less addicted to gambling.

Any addicted gambler joking about this without reflecting on it means that he hasn't learned from gambler addictions because if he does he would remain sober of what he has lost.

These jokes will make it sound common loosing in gambling, many unsuccessful gamblers will relate to it because of how much they have lost. Even though these jokes passes a message of why care should be taken while gambling because of the risk of serious losses in gambling, it will be missed because many gamblers will only laugh about it missing the message. When we gamble and loose, we should always try to understand why we lost before we try to place another bet.

That's kind of funny, but let's forget that it's a joke. Things like this happen in reality. I have seen it on different occasions that people sell their properties just to get money to gamble, and they always have the mindset to buy it back after winning from gambling, or buying something better than that after winning from gambling. But the most surprising part is that they will end up losing the money. After losing money, that's when they will start regretting why they sold their properties. A lot of people have done crazy things just because they needed money to gamble, and after gambling, some of them do discover their mistake, but that doesn't mean they won't make similar mistakes again.

I don't know a joke, but I remember seeing a thread on this forum which perfectly illustrated the joke you mentioned, where OP shared a picture of a parade (I think in Indonesia or Philippines) where people displayed a kind of gambling progression in the life of a gambler. At first position, a man came with a relatively expensive motorcycle, then after him another man came with an average one and in the end there was another man with a bike or a very old motorcycle model, can't remember exactly.

It was a criticize from the local community to gambling, due to negative experiences people there had gambling and the loss of financial power due to wasting their funds betting. Jokes can be an useful method to educate and enlight people about how they should change their behaviors in order to not prejudice themselves with bad choices.

The joke is actually a very funny one and rather than seeing it as reflecting any bad, I think is more of a wake up call to gamblers to be more conscious with their money while gambling as there are several chances of them getting ruined if they gamble uncontrollably. I think I’ve read several jokes about gambling and one similar one I could remember was a story or maybe more of an interview where a gambler was saying his life looks simpler and all thanks to gambling and at that poin I felt he was sarcastic as I learnt the gambler once lived a luxury life before gambling

It became a common joke here in the Philippines after online cockfighting became a massive thing. Lots of guys here who had nothing to do with their money finally found a way to waste it and there went the selling of properties which included houses, motorcycles, cars, and other type of stuff so they can fund their behavior, or fund their lifestyles after wasting all their money into gambling. Hell, I even heard of rumors about highly-influential people in the country actually losing hairs and huge wads of cash over this stupid game. And lately, the tragic loss (they literally vanished out of existence without a trace, and it's still an ongoing investigation in our country as of now) of some big-time cockfighters in the Philippines, possibly at the hands of the crime syndicates in my country.

Reflection of the current situation when it comes to gambling addiction yes, but I instead focus on the humor aspect of it. It’s funny after all lol.

We can't get offended for every conversation but if someone is that bad in their bankroll management then they need to change their gambling pattern before they go broke.

This is also a joke for crypto investments especially if you bought at a peak price and now its almost a useless project and at the bottom value so technically, this kind of jokes spread out in the whole market and any other field that involves money and the capital.

We know the risk of gambling and this can really happen if you become more greedy, don’t ever exchange your valuable things just to continue to gambling, better learn how to have a self-control and be responsible.

I agree with your statement, because being a wise and responsible gambler does not mean that we must and continue to multiply the winnings. But we must always be able to minimize the level of losses in gambling so as not to cause a significant loss.

But in this case it does not mean that I limit someone's efforts to win as much as possible in gambling. Because by continuing to improve knowledge as well as abilities, a person will always be able to increase the chances that he can get a win in gambling.
It's just that don't let this gambling promise a big win for the players, we continue to focus on pursuing the victory. Which is when it happens, the more we continue to pursue victory, the more our money goes into gambling.

And so, to realize the negative impact of gambling is not that we have to experience it ourselves. Because what happens to other people caused by the negative effects of gambling, it should be enough of a warning so that we can be more careful when playing gambling.

Well, more than a joke, it's a reflection, a long time ago I deposited $100 in a very popular fiat casino, Good Game, after a couple of good months I decided to withdraw and I found that the minimum withdrawal was $1000. Seriously, I fell into the hare's trap, I wanted to run away and they caught me.

And you might wonder what the joke is, that based on what OP mentions, I would have to sell my bike in order to complete the withdrawal (figurative sense)...

I always believe in building gradually and it time the resources or bankroll will increase. Even when it increases, I wouldn't also stick my neck out too much. I would stake the amount that I can lose and not to aim for large fortune when I'm not ready to lose all I have gradually built.

If I go with large bankroll and lose it means I would have to start again which is not a good bankroll management.

During my teenage periods of time, my dad gave his younger brother about $1K to go pay the bills for the materials he ordered, the younger brother left for the errand which he was supposed to return back in not more than 2 hours.
He just spent all the money in gambling and was short of excuses. My dad waited and there was no return of him untill my dad reported to the security agencies about his brothers missing and finally some local security agencies found him under the bridge were touts are usually found around.

My lesson: This is were I formally learnt that it is a high risk of using a borrowed money or money entrusted in you to chasing some facts of making income that you are not sure about because when it fails according to ones willing, it is accompanied with frustrations that can temper ones mentality from unreasonable with some bathed of shames due to inability to payback as expected or a disappointment for being untrust Worthy.
And today's I came into Bitcoin investments that some probabilities of gambling are involved which I have also been sanctioned by my referer never to trade with either an entrusted fund or borrowed fund because anything encouraging or discouraging is liable to happen.

It is not for nothing that it is believed that jokes always contain our salt of life. And, sadly, those involved in games think little about the problems they may face if they lose. There is also an expression about gamblers that goes: “Many people know what they will do if they win a big sum, but they don’t know what to do if they don’t win.” But if you soberly assess your capabilities, then people who risk their money every day could invest in Bitcoin and get quite a lot more advantages than the risk of walking on the edge of the game.

The truth is, it is literally happening because gambling can easily drain your funds if you don't know how to control it.
Dark humor but there's really truth in that and many are suffering from financial troubles because of their addiction.
A joke but many are suffering silently. People are just taking it lightly just to forget some bad experiences because of their addiction.

Actually, this is somehow dark if you are going to look it at that perspective. It is funny but on that joke, it entirely encapsulates the possibilities that a person may experience if you make gambling a habit.

It is also somehow dark but this is the reality of gambling- no matter how much we joke about it, remember that these jokes were written by people who have at least experienced them.

It’s dark humor. We would all laugh about it but it could also make one self reflect if affected negatively at any time by gambling and in any way. It’s a joke alright and it does reflect the bad aspects of excessive gambling. Sadly, a lot of people have gone through and still suffer the scenario as in the OP.
It also doesn’t mean people can’t and haven’t purchase new vehicles with the money they’ve won from gambling. But In the urgency to win such amounts, people are likely to go broke and into financial ruin and having to borrow money to provide their needs

Of course in my country there are also many jokes like that. Even on YouTube there are lots of shorts and they are really funny, real depictions of gamblers

If the gambler had won the money any brought the bike means,he must be the experienced gambler.Only few new gambler will win the big money like the money need to buy the bike.The second chat move the same to upside down,because the chat was conveyed he had sold the car for the gambling and buy the new bike using the same money.This mean the gambler had undergo the big loss in the gambling site.But it was not the true story all the time,because I know some of the big winner in my friend circle in the gambling site.But the fact is they was gambler over six big years.With the big win from the gambling site using the experience was made this happen.So the gambler should ready to face both the big loss and the big win from the same gambling site.Don't take the joke as the serious one,because gambler had a big chance to win big win using the gambling sites.
