Not everybody is showing a loss. Smiley

If you are investing in Bitcoin rather than speculating, you should average out your purchases, and " buy the dips ".
Of course this doesn't work if you don't believe in the long term future growth of Bitcoin. I believe that Bitcoin is the crypto gold standard, and it has a very positive future as a result of this.

The value is now even below 9000$ and that's something close to what it was a year before

Absolute nonsense!

That is a very obvious lie!

The very first time that bitcoins was EVER above $9000 was November 26.  That is ONLY a few days more than 2 months ago!

A year before today, bitcoin was LESS THAN $980!

slowly but surely bitcoin will again raise its price, although its current movement is fairly slow, since most countries issue a ban rule on bitcoins, but that will not drop its value.

I believe when everybody will calm down the price will start to increase step by step. The reason why it's down is also that bitcoin is not such a hot topic already and doesn't have such hype like in the 2017

The wolf of wall street predicted the value of Bitcoins to hit 50k dollars before crashing further.

But we aren't seeing any up too soon , it's just getting down and down.

The value is now even below 9000$ and that's something close to what it was a year before and everyone is in a loss right now .

So are you gonna encash , ?
Do you think that the value will crash even further ?

Note one thing that nobody is master or god to make 100% true prediction in this crypto market or any other market. Everybody has their personal views and opinions and you should not be taking their opinions very seriously if you don't know about them in very detailed manner. And now coming to the bitcoin i would like to add that there is panic selling going on all over the world it would be good if you don't take any fresh positions for now at least because there are chances for the bitcoin value to crash down below the $8000. And to add that this is really a worse kind of situation for many traders especially newbies who are holding their bitcoin from past few weeks.

I think the price can go down for one more week, but that's nothing that Bitcoin hasn't been able to handle before.

Btw, last time I saw him, the Wolf of Wall Street was trash talking Bitcoin. Where did you get this information?

I was just talking with a friend of mine who texted me the screen shot and I just tried to examine further in this.

Here it is '

Today only he said it .

People talk about the cost of bitcoin, because it is still popular. There is nothing surprising. Perhaps the price will continue to decline, but this decline will increase. So do not you dare to panic and sell your bitcoins.

have lost more than 40% of capital and now asking if encashing?no not in the next month.no matter what bitcoin price reach,i trust bitcoin more than other coins, and al alts are dumping too.so why need to bother its clear enough that its tho crypto wh reacting not only bitcoin

I have also lost almost 40 % of my portfolio in the last few weeks. But I will not cash out for sure. It doesn't make sense to cash out when price is this low and I believe in the blockchain technology.

Furthermore, you can always look at it in another way. I have bought my bitcoin position around 4000$ so I can say I am 100% up on my investment Smiley Only mistake I made is that I didn't cash out around 25% on peak levels. I would have much more money to buy now. If I had spare cash lying around this would be the perfect time to buy more.

I must admit that I didn't expect Bitcoin to fall below $9000 dollars. However, I don't panic at all. Don't you think that someone is trying to manipulate the price and force people to sell? Both bad news about India and South Korea were fake and caused a lot of unnecessary confusion. I wouldn't be surprised if Bitcoin started to surge in the next few days. I have already bought more BTC, now I am patiently waiting for the end of the correction. Don't panic sell, HODL.

I must admit that this theory is looking more believable with every passing day. Almost every day we get big headlines about some Country banning cryptocurrncies/bitcoin which turns out to be pure FUD inside 24 hours. Media is trying to get more clicks with this headlines but this sort of feels more deliberate. I think there are big/institutional investor intentionally bringing the price down in order to strengthen their positions.

SegWit is up and running, granted adoption could be better. Transactions are getting cheaper and faster, backlog is smaller. Lighting network is growing. In my mind all very positive indicators for bitcoin. I can easily see it retest 20000$ soon, when all this banning FUD gets exhausted.

In my opinion, if the price stays at 8.5k at the end of the day, it will pump back to 10k on Sunday. India's gov they don't ban Bitcoin exchanges and because of FUD peoples get panic. Soon they will buy again.
I agree with you, they bring us news as they need, they deceive us! We are near the bottom or already bottom at the current time, I also offer a little wait soon to be grow!

Believe it or not, Bitcoin is STILL in a bull market.

This is what a correction is. Price moves too far from its median and mean reversion sets in. It's normal and healthy.

BTC/USD's 20 month exponential moving average sits just above 5000. This indicator has proven very powerful in the past on a wide array of assets so I put a lot of confidence in its reliability.

For Bitcoin to actually enter a bear market, price would have to close below the 20 month EMA on a monthly basis.

I expect Bitcoin's price to touch 5000 or maybe briefly dip slightly below this mark, but then move back up and begin a new rise. When this will happen is anyone's guess.

But right now we're witnessing 'The Purge' of the dumb money who bought BTC on credit or sold off all of their belongings to buy in at 18-19-20,000$. These people will lose it all to the smart money, the early adopters and developers sitting on obscene amounts of bitcoins mined for next to nothing a decade ago and the smart money will hoard and scrape every last bitcoin out of the wallets of the weak hands who don't understand the market mechanism of Buy Low, Sell High.

Once 'The Purge' is over, we will head higher again for the next cycle. Like spring follows winter, so will another bull run follow this correction.

I also think the recent price is pulling Bitcoin back to its healthy level after the unbelievably high Bitcoin prices were soaring and unbelievably incredible, but the plunge now allows those follow-up speculators to pay for their actions They should pay the price.

Just another day in Bitcoin. These FUDS are to be expect, in fact that we all should be ready for those because it has a lot of competitors aside from its other coins but also to some local governments that officially banned cryptocurrency. What you should be more worried about is the risks of bans in your local country rather than the price. There is nothing to worry about this. This is just pretty much how Bitcoin will always behave. It is in waiting, investing, promoting on how you can embrace its instability in price. There is no point of selling. It is just how people react on their worry to its crash. Believe me, they could have just used Bitcoin for profit and not a currency. If you are really one of those people that "really" uses Bitcoin, then these crashes wouldn't worry you. It happened a lot of times, so no use of panicking.

So are you gonna encash , ?

I don't see why not, but we haven't reached yet 20k as of now Embarrassed . I think I might need to buy more.

Well the price of bitcoin blew up to $19k before and it is a gigantic increase in price so we better believe in reality that it can also go down to its lowest value. and if the cycle don't stop we can still expect that it will bounce back to higher value. So I think the opportunity for everyone to buy bitcoins has just opened but ofcourse still it will depend on each one whether to buy more or just stay put.

If we are going to look for the reason why bitcoin price goes down, we can find that it is because of the countries that banning bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies or altcoins in their territory. As it goes down, we can expect that many will buy bitcoin and counties might open their country again to the influence of this and then people tend to buy many amount of bitcoin that will make it reach or skyrocket another price hike just like what happened last year, December. We can expect for more crashing of value.

I think this is a fake news, Wall Street and cryptocurrency are two disjoint things, they do not understand the trend of bitcoin. They are only suitable for where they are suitable.

How can it be a fake news when they don't really say anything about it they just predicted it, obviously predictions are not hundred percent accurate or correct and I think they do understand the trend of bitcoin because Belfort, the Wolf of Wall Street knows something about it and I think it is more than that. If you are curious on what he said that time, here is the article and upon reading it, he said "might have" stating that he himself is not sure..

When i started bitcoin it was on $1200 and not same as what it was today. Though i lose a lot on trading because of red days, i still believe bitcoin will rise soon. Today's price is really somewhat intriguing but nothing to worry about. Bitcoin will rise again.

Yep hang in mate, you can go down with the ship and excuse others for heading for the life boats.

Bitcoin cannot last against the competition because we now have much better technology that will
scale and do 25,000MPH instead of 7 transactions per second but look at the good side, you will freeze
to death because these waters are too cold for sharks
