I'm not talking to americans. It's snowing here in southern Louisiana! It's always hotter than hell here. The area is pretty much shut down, and all bridges closed. My city is surrounded by water so no traffic in or out for 100K people. Also, Interstate 10, the busiest in the nation, runs through my city and the bridge is closed and backed up for miles. Crazy! Many wrecks have resulted in multiple deaths. Nobody around here know how to drive on snow or ice.

We have more bridges per mile than any other state I believe. Louisiana is home to the THREE LONGEST bridges in the US. Thats correct, first, second, and third longest. It is an entirely different thing when you are dealing with 200 foot tall bridges covered in ice, compared to flat snow covered areas. Bridges freeze quicker because of cold air under the bridge as well. My city can only be reached by bridge. They were both shut down for about 24 hours. Over 300 wrecks in 3 days in our parish (county), mostly Interstate 10 travelers passing through.
