Thanks for signing up, and I've authorised your application. I've recently introduced email activation, so please let me know if there is a problem with this.
I seem to have quite a few people who are keen to help, and I am grateful for this.
What I really need are the guys who are failing to receive merits because of bad English, and they seem reluctant to join.I don't know if they will be put off by too many tutors. I'm lucky in that a couple of Legendaries are helping, and I hope that this won't put off potential pupils. They won't be attacked because of their English, the whole point of the project is to help them improve. I'm not sure how I can convince them of this.
The other disadvantage is that they won't get any Bitcoin Talk merits for any posts there, and they wont be able to display signatures. I suspect this puts off quite a few applicants.
If I may suggest, use a little lipstick on that pig of a signature and gussy her up!
You could use the words merit and bad English to convey what you really need or some other words you might prefer. Someone with less than fluent English may not equate your signature/site with getting merit (honestly) here by improving their English!
"Not getting merit, English bad? Learn how to improve your English and increase your chances of getting merit on Bitcointalk" - Be Fittotalk yada yada yada
Also what if you had a signature design thread where people could discuss and design different signatures for fit to talk. Having input from users on how they found you and what were the keys to getting them to come might help figure out what might work in a signature.
I'm not suggesting sig campaign or anything but you have a sig and you should at least sexy it up a bit! I know its a bit of a long shot but you might find other users eventually that would wear such a signature (hint hint wink wink
)
Anyways good luck mate, I quite like the project and I hope it works out!
