Just registered, and yes didn't know about newbie posts until reading about the auctions so here I am

lurked for awhile when I first heard of bitcoins, only signed up once I decided to take the plunge (which wasn't early enough!)
I have just joined myself. The newbie rules are odd but the timer is wildly inaccurate.

I'm admittedly not a long time lurker... but I just caught wind of the ASICminer round 2 auction last night and want to try to get in. Probably no way in hell I'll get out of newb jail in time , but I'm learning a lot by browsing the forums... so doing time in newb jail is turning out to be profitable in its own right.

yeah, this is a great place for news. I'm hoping to be able to bid on an auction at some point as well!
I lurked for a long time too but now posting more and trying to get to Jr Member status and post in other areas as well.
This is a fantastic place for crypto news and developments, it would be nice if they had a sister site focusing on just news and developments and left this forum the way it is, expansion.

I created an account awhile ago with the intention of participating/asking questions/etc. But was turned off by the newb trap. So... here I am with a relatively difficult question trying to work my way out.
