"“I think there’s a good chance that … when we get to that 21 million Bitcoins, [Satoshi Nakamato] is going to come on there, laugh hysterically, go quiet, and all Bitcoin is going to be erased.”

Satoshi no longer has access to being a core dev, and it's written in to the blockchain that 21 million is the supply cap.  I hate this man with a passion, and trust me I know hate is a very strong word.
No single developer can change the protocol of a decentralized project and network. Jamie Dimon must understand this point and maybe he understood it but just wanted to say lies on media.

How is the 21 Million Bitcoin Cap Defined and Enforced?

It is hard coded and no developer can change the 21 milion Bitcoin cap and erase Bitcoin is much more than increasing total supply so it is impossible.

5 lines of codeto prove Jamie Dimon is a liar.

Empty drums sound the loudest. This what happens when you have nothing big to offer but you just have to make outrageous claims just to stay relevant. For me, he knows nothing about crypto, just going about spreading FUD. The maximum supply of Bitcoin will be reached around the year 2140, and I doubt if he'd be alive to croak this nonsense.
Sometimes I wonder if he hears himself talk, so Satoshi will be awaken from his millennial slumber to come have a good laugh at how we have been so blindly following Bitcoin? Funny part is there's those who will find meaning to his words and take it to heart or even support his crazy line of thought; his fellow Bitcoin atheists. No need paying him any mind because this how he makes profits, giving misleading information to not so grounded Bitcoin investors and making them question themselves so that when he suggests investing in his bank or whatnot, they gobble the idea up.

That is a big fat lie. Do you really think Satoshi will come and Destroy Bitcoin after people might have consumed the 21million. What you should know is that as Bitcoin continue to get value in price, the harder it becomes to achieve the target of getting all the Bitcoin. Because people will start buying in fraction and Small units of SATs. because that is the only way it can be achieved 1 whole bitcoin will now serve as 100m total supply because 100m sat =1btc so people will start to invest in sat.

And another thing is that Satoshi will never comeback for Bitcoin, because before all Bitcoin can be mined it will take like 100 to 150 years so you see that if he is anyways alive now ,nby then he would be dead.  Where ever than genius Satoshi I believe and trust him of not having a negative plan for bitcoin I am surprised that after all this years we've gone far on Bitcoin people are still doubting Bitcoin and the founder. If this project was programmed for doom, it would have ended a long time ago.all those are fudy Duddy about Satoshi and Bitcoin.

Omg, this is the sign again. I remember when Jamie Dimon talked negatively about Bitcoin and that was when the rally upward of Bitcoin started, it's kinda typically doing FUD to people so they can buy more cheap Bitcoins. Well, a typical whale move.

Totally a sign, it's like the market really wants to stick it to this douchebag of a soulless banker that what he's spouting is crap and that what he's saying is pretentious and only looks at the one side of the argument and never puts his shoes on the other people, I kind of want to know what he's feeling whenever he's saying some bad stuff and the market goes up, I think he's always livid that whenever he talks crap about bitcoin, it goes up and rallies towards a new all-time high. That's what is in my head whenever I  feel bad, Jamie going apeshit when bitcoin isn't collapsing. There's also this other theory that I like to think about where he's secretly a fan of bitcoin and that he's a bear that wants the prices to go down so he can either short it or buy at a lower price so he does this shenanigans about bitcoin collapsing, bitcoin being used for money laundering and that Satoshi will rise from the dead and delete bitcoin.

It will take many years for Bitcoin to mined twenty one million total supply, maybe Satoshi Nakamato won't be alive until then though that's my guess. None of us know if Satoshi Nakamato is alive, although if he is, there could be a number of reasons why he is not online or in public. Maybe there is a possibility that he will be confiscated by the US government or there may be a plan to kill him that is why he is not coming in public. No one can say for sure whether he is alive or not, so whatever predictions we make about him are all conjecture. Whether Satoshi returns  withdraw his bitcoins from the total supply or burns them after the total supply of twenty one million bitcoins is complete is entirely speculative. It's foolish to believe 100% of these conjectures and rest assured that even if Satoshi Nakamato comes back, he won't change the total supply of Bitcoin.

Leave no FUD unchallenged
We already had a recent Dimon topic.  So, rather than repeat my thoughts on his latest weasel-words, I'll just link to that.

It's of no real consequence.  Anyone who trusts the judgement of a banking syndicate crime-lord wasn't likely to take an interest in Bitcoin to begin with.  He could say literally anything, fact or fiction, and it would make no difference.  Such people are not our target audience.

From the way he is talking it's obvious that he knows nothing about bitcoin and he is not ready to learn. I pity anyone that will listen or take what he is saying about Satoshi Nakamoto and bitcoin serious. Their fud on bitcoin are gradually losing relevance. There will come a time when fud will mean nothing to bitcoin.

I can't tell if this guy is pretending to be stupid, if he thinks he can fool people, or if he is really very ignorant. Since he is the CEO of JPMorgan, it's unlikely that he is ignorant or stupid, so the only thing left is that he thinks he can fool people. It's hard to understand why such a high-profile person would make statements like this. I'm not sure if it's an attempt to get in the spotlight, a desire to mislead people, or a planned attack on Bitcoin. Either way, this guy is not to be taken seriously. We've understood this.

He’s a con artist through and through, he knows what he’s doing.  I’ve seen this for years first hand working in finance.

I don't know if this man realizes that at the time we get to 21 million coins mined, it would be 2140, which is more than 100 years from now. It's a shame that people like this are able to amass a huge amount of fortune and wield a lot of power while also being a total idiot when it comes to common sense. Dude's just out here trying to spread doom and gloom to everyone while actively being a fraud to the banking industry.

Seeing the topic, I just smirked. Oh, Jamie Dimon again, not surprised at all. What good word, idea or a good sense of reasoning do you think can come off from an anti-bitcoiner?

Same Mr. Dimon was the person that made a hypocritical statement just about two weeks ago, when he said that Satoshi will just appear and increase the total supply of Bitcoin.

Jamie Dimon doesn't support Bitcoin, and what he only wants to do is to keep creating FUD, but the question is: Could he be the able to stop everyone from investing in Bitcoin? Or can his Word make Bitcoiners to sell off their Coins? No! Is the answer. He is not the only person that has been creating FUD against Bitcoin, and it will definitely not stop with him.

It's 10 years now and Satoshi is not yet out to claim the glory of what he created. Now we are in the 15th year of having Bitcoin, and yet Satoshi doesn't think that there is any need to come out. What is the evidence that he will come out anytime in the future? Even if Satoshi comes out today, there is no way he can just erase Bitcoin with just the click of one button.

Tell me you know nothing about bitcoin without telling me you know nothing about bitcoin. Seriously though, until now I don't know scat about Jamie Dimon lol.

The fact of the matter is that as soon as bitcoin was launched Satoshi's got no hold of its technology anymore (I think) except for the few thousands of bitcoins at his disposal. He relinquished his role as a core dev way back in 2012 and since then we haven't heard of the guy, and I don't know about Jamie but when I relinquish shit I don't go thinking I could still take advantage of it on the side lol, plus Satoshi doesn't paint himself as someone who's going to do that anyway.

It's just these people throwing out weird circumstances that are remotely possible but highly improbable to either throw people who aren't decided if they wanna go the crypto route or give those stupid fearmongers more fuel to hate on cryptocurrencies. I personally wouldn't worry about this kind of shit since it's not gonna do anything for the crypto industry anyway but every now and again a stupid motherfucker's gonna have to speak up and a couple smart fellas from that industry's just gonna have to shut him up.

Beautiful
Satoshi is immortal.
The last Bitcoin would be mined around 140 years and even if satoshi was 9 years old when he created Bitcoin
He would be around 140 years.
I would consider what he said a joke
Because there's no way a man that experienced can be that dumb right?

Let's say we live in a wonder of fantasy and satoshi do come back
The only thing he has access to is his/her mined Bitcoin.

Like, seriously, isn't this funny? Although I don't take Jamie Dimon as a serious person when it comes to taking people's opinion as far as Bitcoin is concerned or even the future of Bitcoin, really.

Secondly, it is great to know that Bitcoin is an open-source technology and what that means is virtually all the users of Bitcoin have a control, in a way, over how it operates and nobody has a control over the future of Bitcoin because it's a people oriented platform. So, let's even assume today Satoshi Nakamoto is to come into limelight. I don't think he has a strong opinion or any strong effect on the development of Bitcoin and there are no any back-door control room in Bitcoin. If there was something like a control room for Bitcoin, people with more knowledge about the Devs of Bitcoin must have mentioned such a thing.

Lastly, the 21 million BTC cap. It's not even going to happen now, so why worry about it in the 1st place? For me it doesn't make any sense, rather it's coming out from a pessimist like Jamie Dimon. Laughs.

no one really cares about anything he says, rightfully so. I'm not saying he's a scumbag just because he's anti-bitcoin or anything like that

Jamie runs the world’s second largest bank. To say “no one really cares” is completely wrong. He’s very influential in the finance sector. Sadly, people do listen and do care!

“ I'm not saying he's a scumbag just because he's anti-bitcoin or anything like that”.  I didn’t say he was a scumbag because of his bitcoin views (which technically he is as he’s spreading false information). He’s a scumbag piece of shit because he runs one of the most fraudulent companies of all time. As a long time financial advisor I’m all to aware of what a shit company he runs and how much fraudulent behavior goes on under his watch. He’s a scumbag of the highest order.

there is no back door.. there is no secret access code

even if satoshi came back. he cant exactly just hi-jack bitcoin core.

but with all that said, satoshi left in 2011 for the very reason of not wanting people asking him for permission if their code updates met his specification.

but lets say he did come back, he could release his own codebase/client brand. but would then need to fight the core competition of node preference

even if he kissed the asses of core devs, he would need to plead to them to drop their sponsorship deals of the core roadmap and then follow his guidance instead... which would mean probably him financing the core devs to follow his lead

its not a simple "im back, gimme control"

Clearly this scumbag ( with 40 BILLION dollars in fraud violations since the year 2000 https://violationtracker.goodjobsfirst.org/parent/jpmorgan-chase ) has either no clue how bitcoin works or is just simply spreading straight FUD.

Satoshi no longer has access to being a core dev, and it's written in to the blockchain that 21 million is the supply cap.  I hate this man with a passion, and trust me I know hate is a very strong word.

It will take decades/centuries for the full 21,000,000 BTC supply to be in circulation. This comment made by J. Daimon only, once again, shows his lack of understanding in what Bitcoin is.

It seems that what we are now seeing, due to the institutional interest in Bitcoin and the appreciation coming as far as it has to this day, is the "founder" ghost coming to cause new FUD. Idea wars...and J. Daimon is insinuating that Bitcoin is one giant "rug pull" and is not really going to fulfil the purpose that it proposed in the whitepaper for as long as it can naturally, is an idea that can scare a lot of people.

Overall, "source or GTFO" can once again be used on J. Daimon. Add this comment to the hundreds of others, it should mean nothing to anyone by this point.

We should stop giving him attention because whatever he says, there's always the reason for his gain with that. The media are all over him and that makes him the most with all of these attention that he's pushing through with his statements even they're not necessary at all.
He think that most people are idiots and will listen to him, probably some might listen to him but he should be aware that not all people are going to believe anything he say.

I wouldn't care about what that person is going to spread because I believe that Satoshi won't touch Bitcoin. I do believe that Satoshi can add something to the Bitcoin network as a dev and that's all there is. I don't know if he has an answer to this question, why would Satoshi erase Bitcoin when he created Bitcoin for it's purpose?. If I were Satoshi, I wouldn't create Bitcoin if I am only going to erase it. All I can say is we put his discussion aside about Satoshi coming back to erase Bitcoin.
