Good morning. Some days ago I was taking a look at my twitter feedback and I found something some of you could find interesting or at leat worthy of some discussion.

It seems there are slot machines of a popular japanese animation called "Madoka Magica", basically girls with magic powers, these slots machines seem to include a tactile screen for the player to interact with the characters in order to gamble.

In these Tweets you can see how two of the characters seem to ask the player to "touch" their fingertips as part of the slot machine functionality. (For some reason, if the player chooses to hold on it more than necessary the character reacts to it)

What do you think about these japanese slot machines?
Do you like them?
Would you gamble on them?

It's a strange concept but possibly goes to show how lonely society in in Japan and the ways that casinos are trying to profit from that. Instead of physical touch, which certain players might not have, it is trying to emulate the psychological stimulation in some weird way. It sort of fits in with the whole rewiring of the brain that takes place and there was probably research conducted, which came to the conclusion that this style of game generates more profit. It's maybe a sad reflection of the general trend of people towards more isolation.

Maybe later, if technology has developed, reduces fingerprint use because fingerprints contain data for crimes.
For now, where the technology is still in development, it may not be too dangerous but it still makes some people worried if it will be misused later.
For people who often gamble in physical casinos, slot machine games with such a concept will provide a different experience than usual because they can use their fingers to press the button.
But maybe also for people who are not used to it, it will feel strange them.
Well, I don't know if this is something very relevant to worry about.
Currently, there are several ways in which you leave your fingerprints scattered around, access an ATM, open a door, public transport and others examples.

Do you have any data or news that shows or evidence crimes that happened with a user leaving a fingerprint on a gambling machine?
Maybe it is just my imagination, but I heard that fingerprints could know many things about us.
But imagine if that data transfers on our fingerprints or if our fingerprints are being used to access something before we can use it.
Nowadays, fingerprints are used to find evidence of a crime.

In my country, Japanese anime is also very popular among young people.

Therefore, such slot machines would be very popular among teenagers in my country.  However, the problem is that gambling in my country is subject to strict government regulation.

Therefore, the probability of the appearance of such slot machines on the streets of our cities is almost zero.  Too bad...

I would love to gamble in these slot machines.  It's very cool!

There are so many different themes for slot games but I do not take the theme in order to play slot. I prefer to see the mechanism, paylines and features. Looking at the japanese slot you are referring to, I do not see it as an attractive slot to play so I will not play it because it is not my type.

The question is does it really matter to the outcome of the game?
In most cases, the outcome for the player will be the same and regardless of the "wrapper", the "stuffing" of all slot games is the same. I believe that slot machines based on the japanese animation may have an aesthetic value for gamblers for fans of this genre and influence the process of enjoying the game with this "wrapper".

There are slots with bonus rounds in many locations that want people to pick something on the screen.
The ability to choose, in my opinion, is a good opportunity, allowing the player to get exactly the picture/screen that he likes more, which means he will spend more time playing the game. This will directly benefit the owners of gaming machines.

If you don't within a set amount of time the game picks for you.

Depending on the location and local laws / gambling rules the picks may or may not be random. Or they may not matter at all since the result is per-determined and no matter what you pick the bonus or whatever is the same. So for something different I might give it a go, but since I'm not a slot person anyway no more or less then taking a look at any other slot and dropping in a few bucks to see what it's about.

Yes but the question here now is that , will this be available in other country? or this will be only in japan.

it looks like this will only be in Japan, if you look at the impressions, that this slot machine is played on land not online.
the majority of Japanese people are used to anime, there are more anime fans than regular TV shows, and yes, I think the adoption of anime on slot machines is nothing but to increase the attractiveness of people in Japan itself.
And if any online game adopts, I don't know if it will attract a lot of attention from gamblers outside Japan, I don't know. Anime adoption doesn't change one's luck, I guess it's just a feature that Japanese people prefer.

As a person who likes anime, I would definitely play on these slot machines if it's available on my country. It can be usually found in Japan and is a good marketing strategy because it can easily attract people who have the same interest as mine and not just only gamblers. Those themed slot machines are more of an attraction to people around that place because a serious gambler won't bother playing on those if each bet takes longer than a normal slot machine.
Count me in mate, I love Animated things in every aspects , now that there are Slot Machine animation? damn How  wish this will be available in my country now as I will visit and plays for this .
i cannot imagine how this works in real life lol.
If by chance, I will definitely try playing at a slot machine, be it on Japanese animation or not.

But the question is, are themes really matter? Can that affect our winning chance?

For entertainment, maybe yes themes matter. But for profit taking, we need to think twice.

It's Magi from Madkoa magica! I have seen this anime lol
Not a good idea imo, animes are meant for kids and teenagers(if you are an adult and still watching animes then get a life). In a way they are targeting minors with their slot with such aesthetics.

Reminds me of Twitch streamers pushing slots to kids, same concept different execution.
I am guessing this is in Akihabara, place for adult no lifers who are addicted to anime girl pillows as well. If yes, then I will give it a pass lol Otherwise, this is not ethical.

since the slots shown in this thread is more interactive than others.

Maybe I'm wrong, but in some Las Vegas casino you can play on the same interactive slots, where you can slap a buffalo's ass near slot machine (or smth like that). I had seen this in some youtube show some time ago when i had an interest in stuff like that, and fast search on the Internet didn't show me anything like that (but again, I seen this by myself)
That’s too physical for a slot machine but since I’ve never been into Vegas, I’ll try to google it with this one.
The idea of getting involve physically with the slot machine is an interesting idea, this can be more exciting and can attract more gamblers if ever. Anime is a big industry, having this on slot machines can also attract gamblers, I hope to experience one and probably will start searching for this machine in the casinos here locally.

I like the idea of a touchscreen implemented into the game. I think this is the evolution of gambling since physical slot machines with a turning drum require more maintenance and cannot be rethemed that easily. With electronic machines you can put any theme you like within minutes and when one show becomes unpopular use another that's on top at the moment.

As for me liking the machine, I'm not feeling this theme though. I know some people are and this is a big culture in Japan. I like animated movies, but not the ones that use cute little girls that moan all the time to attract boys.
If it is a touchscreen slots when you play the slots game then in my opinion, the experience would be almost the same as playing the slots in person. I also don't like animations that you said but I don't mind if they use animated characters that look like it's in a game character or the same in animated movies. I think if this would be made sooner then my guess is they will use the characters that moan to attract boys but it doesn't work for me and more likely being annoyed by it.

How I wish it will be here sooner mate because truly I am interesting in this , and the realistic gaming is  what will attract gamblers now as slot gaming is getting boring these past years and we need to offer new things like this Animated gaming.
Why do you think slot gaming is becoming boring lately?
I seems some people around here actually like the way slots work and find these anime slot machines to be uncomfortable.
I assume it is because the can play faster on normal slots.
Actually, it varies to everyone's perspective whether they would like these kind of design and animation on slots games. Some people actually like these designs and animation especially for anime fans and Japan culture enthusiast. However, even with these unique new designs, it really doesn't affect much on how slots are played so it's popularity is still not affected.

I think the popularity will be affected somehow.  As you stated, it varies to a person's perspective and there are lots of anime lovers that would choose to play in anime-themed slots than the gothic ones if the RTP and game mechanics are the same.  With the slot design in this thread, I think it will have an effect on how the slot is played since the slots shown in this thread is more interactive than others.

right, I think the result would be different if slot machines like this were in las vegas because gambling players in vegas (the majority) don't really like anime. The culture, and customs of an area really affect the results that slot machine owners get. I myself don't really like anime, I prefer the cartoons released by Disney (maybe if the slot machine provider makes a slot machine with Disney cartoon characters, I'll try to play).

I think that slots with Japanese characters or manga will not be famous outside of Japan because these characters are familiar to a very narrow circle of people. In my opinion, to increase interest in slots, you should use more well-known characters or use a neutral theme that suits anyone regardless of where they live, interests, age, etc.

There are millions of anime fans all over the world.  I do not think that the fanbase are too narrow or just a small circle for this theme.

Just look at this statistics and see it yourself how huge the audience of anime is. So I think it is not a waste to have an anime themed slots.

Take note China is not included there since Chinese government puts up strict regulations on anime and I am sure there are lots of Chinese anime lover.

This can add to your excitement especially if you are an anime fanatic.
Honestly, I love the idea of this machine and its really futuristic, I can’t imagine the next concept of slot machines especially in the future where technology keeps on growing. Just like the other user here, my concern is also about the security with this game, I hope they are not scanning your finger print here.   Cheesy
Yes... well remembered, I confess this is interesting, because if the gambler likes anime or something, this can be a differential, of course it is only in the aesthetics, and maybe this can be irrelevant for others users/gamblers... but everything this is relative and many players have their quirks or something like that

... maybe in the next couple of years this will come as we are mostly late from the latest  Grin

It would be just matter of time for these type of slot machines to become easily available in western Casinos, if they can prove themselves to be profitable enough, that is.
How I wish it will be here sooner mate because truly I am interesting in this , and the realistic gaming is  what will attract gamblers now as slot gaming is getting boring these past years and we need to offer new things like this Animated gaming.
Quote
I assume these machines are more expensive and fragile, because the electronic components associated to them, added to it we should also keep in mind these characters are registered intellectual property so I guess that only adds to the price (because the anime studio may charge for the use of their characters). However, as anime and manga become more popular in the west among the youth and adults, casinos could find appealing to open an "interactive japanese slot" section in their facilities.

and with these? it will affect maybe the chances of winning big because of the expensive quality of the machine . but of course gambling will love this as a new feature to be played.
