Then the exchange he established shouldn't be called as McAfee Dex if it requires KYC.

So now he do try to be a sheep and trying to show up some sympathy to the entire crypto community when it comes to any KYC or regulations?

If this DEX do comply with any rules or regulations then this one cant be considered to be a Dex.Im already expecting for that possibility if it would happen anytime soon
thats why i dont have any trust on using up this platform.
That's what I'm saying and base on the tweet he had recently, there's a hint that he's going to be obedient for the good of his exchange. No need to expect anything about this exchange, we're just giving him more exposure as we discuss it.

IDEX is waving at you  Grin
Yeah, same as McAfee's, it also requires kyc.

McAfee launched McAfee DEX with a view of promoting a decentralized economy. The unique features of this decentralized exchange are 0 listing and maker fees, and low 0.25% transaction fees.
start trading on one of the 3 exchanges namely McAfeeDEX, SwitchDex and IDEX. These three exchanges conduct ESH coin competition trading.
An active trading account has a chance to win the competition. Prizes range from 5 ETH, 20,500 ESH, and enjoy a vacation with John McAfee on an undisclosed island.

If anyone actually believes that this is decentralization, they have to be absolutely kidding themselves.

You must be one of them I guess, I mean yeah, let's all do wash trading to win 5 ETH (seriously, that's even less than 1k) and then go on vacation and spend that and more just to possibly get a real unforgettable experience. Wink

It's quite ironic that it's a DEX bug bounty campaign with an undisclosed reward.

this will not end well for him and this exchange, I hope at least he will try to dig deeper into the consequences of his actions and make sure that people don't get hurt because of him
It's a marketing strategy. That is just him trying hard to sell his products to people who hates KYC verification. He might fold soon

Isn't it a DeX? While the need for AML and KYC procedures when the exchange is decentralized?
I know McAfee behavior is not exactly what many consider as good, but in some of his tweets I have read, he is always against centralized exchanges so I doubt he will be complying with the AML laws, am looking forward to seeing his dex active for users because there not much decentralize exchange around.
That's what I've noticed too. DEX shouldn't require KYC because they're all decentralized and the gov't doesn't have to intervene with its action. But since he's a popular figure, I think he'll follow what does the law said for the sake of his exchange.

Needless to say, no matter what compliance he do, bounties and stuffs, I'll not even touch that exchange for now.

Im 100% agree with you why we need to do kyc if this is a decentralized exchange site thats one reason I quit trading on Idex exchange site. A true dex not require to do kyc but I guest this mcafeedex have a lot of bugs need to fix lets just wait what will happen since mcafee is eo impluencer people on twitter.

If I'm not mistaken, McAfee is the security software right? and the company was named by the owner which is John McAfee.

It's a nice idea for them to enter the crypto world and apply their software to make maximize security on their platform. I noticed something that most of the popular software, apps, and other brands are trying to get their own coin, maybe for more profit.

John McAfee has earlier launched McAfeeDEX, a decentralized exchange. McAfeeDEX further announced the Bug Bounty Program on Oct 9, 2019.

I think he should be more responsible for his actions since the community of crypto is bigger and many investors/users might turn off because of its statement.

He sold that company years ago, McAffee is more known now for his $1,000,000 Bitcoin dickline, where he's betting that Bitcoin will be worth $1,000,000 in ten years (less now) or he will cut off his penis and eat it. He's also known for drug related news and some weird body double leaking information (?)

It's just not someone I'm willing to put my trust in with coins on an exchange.

I see, so are you saying that it's not really worth it to trade on this exchange since it's related to someone that has many issues? I mean the DEX still has a good name since it's very popular and I think there's people that will still invest in this.

Well, there's a lot of coins that are valuable there so let's be wise on this.

I read in a post that McAfeeDEX is a clone site of a Swiss Dex...
The point is Mr. McAfee is somewhat a big name but his way of doing things is rubbish... He's just spoiling his own name.

He's a tech guy and most probably he got his dev team then why the hell he can't code his own quality exchange and make it a brand.

One of my computers happens to use Mcafee endpoint premium, and it's a good anti-virus and has top-grade reviews that mean he really has a good coder but maybe not well versed in Crypto line of codes, but the prize is not attractive

Immediate DDOS attack after its beta launch? People do really love McAfee.  Cheesy  but somehow these bug bounties are good for those who do love to fix up things.

And i do really laugh for this prize. "Along with McAfeeDEX Bug Bounty, the platform also started ESH trading competition. The winner can spend a day with John McAfee."
Do this one considered to be a prize?

Surprisingly that's what the article said. If indeed its the price, the only takers will probably the ones who doesn't know Macaffee the way the BTc community knew him. What is this ESH trading competition?

He is a security expert yes but I think he is asking for another idea for its security DDOS attack is pretty common. So he thinks a lot will be using his dex?

A strong statement from McAfee's part, although we know that one way or the other he would eventually give in to the demands of the SEC or he would have to move countries in order to further his interest and of course his service as a decentralize exchange. He would be a subject of the authority for the next few months before they get him and apprehend him for his violations, but then again, we know that McAfee is not really a man of his words and would likely be implementing KYC and AML regulations in his so-called decentralized exchange.

One of the leading enthusiast for Cryptocurrency and now launching his own decentralized exchange I guess can still have problems regarding bugs and attacks on DDoS, Well I guess this is really an opportunity for Developers to give their all in getting a solution to this problem, Well in my opinion even though John McAfee is a well-known personality I guess spending a day with him is not enough for aa reward, This may be a dream come true for most people but not for me, However this problem needs solving for people to gain trust on the exchange.

Nice program! It's a great opportunity for all those who have a strong technical knowledge but are unable to find some good jobs definitely john mcafee has done something good to the bitcoin fraternity otherwise. yet I am still waiting for him to eat his dick on National Television.  Grin

@Elena_Rodriguez I’m pretty sure plenty of bugs will be found, and soon he’ll stop paying for them citing different rules. I don’t trust his words, but for those who’re into bug hunting McAfeeDEX is a potential gold mine of bugs hence you’ll should give it a try and make good amount of money. @googs84 you’re not alone in waiting for that, but we both know it’s not going to happen lol.
