I didn't have a big attention about McAfee comment but what I like is about JPMorgan who showed much hate about bitcoin in few last year finally will adopt blockchain technology. Even if their blockchain network exclusive for their customer only, I am sure this news will bring more attention into crypto with hope the price will great again.
Perhaps this news will not have a good impact on current cryptocurrencies. maybe this will attract attention to the blockchain and to the fact that everyone needs their own currency

where do you see JPM Coin in the future?

Nowhere outside the bank's environment. The only merit this coin will get is the fact that it will be the first of many. Each bank will create their own internal coin and maybe later they will create one common coin to interact with each others.

I think that this coin will not affect the market in any way and most likely does not carry any threat in itself, so there is no point in worrying!

Sounds like JP Morgan will just be creating a blockchain for in house usage or just for their over-priviliged private banking customers. More of a win for Blockchain adoption rather than a great new currency but at least it is increasing the exposure of blockchain technology.

I am not sure if JPM is actually a cryptocurrency or not. Each JPM costs 1 usd, so it is not volatile. JPM will be used as digital paynent for larger corporation and security transactions to replace dollars held in subsidiaries. If it is not being operated in public network and only be used among its clients and lenders, then it is not crypto.

I believe john mcafee is only half way right about his assessment of jp morgan jpm coin the reason is because firstly, this is a private cryptocurrency for a private bank which does not promote the ideals of anonymity and decentralization,
however we have also seen a lot of crypto project that are centralised and have promoted cryptocurrencies to greater height for example the world largest exchange binance is a centralised exchange and it is a major player in the crypto space so I think investment from jp morgan into cryptocurrencies will eventually help in terms of regulations and more adoption by people who are still sceptical about how secure crypto is.

Hi! Guys, what do you think about McAfee commenting on JPM Coin? Huh https://coinedtimes.com/exclusive-john-mcafee-responds-to-jpm-coin-announcement/ Do you think he has relevance to do that and where do you see JPM Coin in the future?

McCafée is right but I’m not his fan lol
JPM coin is more private with specific purposes and it won’t be like etherum where any one can create a smart contract and token lol

Let’s wait for the full implementation
JPM coin will be used by the big companies in USA or the company's client. This coin will not open to the public. I have seen someone has explained a lot about that yesterday and JPM coin will be a private coin to the company.

JP Morgan entering crypto will be beneficial long term for crypto world as I think this is only the start and other banks will follow. It could attract other institutional investors to gain trust in  this technology. John McAfee had very good vies in this interview and his offer for Jamie Dimon to join the table has come true.

There are several lines of interesting sentences that John McAfee said, and in my opinion he is aware of the strengths and weaknesses of JPM coins just the same as other coins, such as:

Quote
McAfee said the recently announced JPM Coin will only succeed if the public chooses to support it.

McAfee told Coined Times that cryptocurrency’s power will remain with the people, even if big corporations like JPMorgan get involved.

Since entering the crypto sphere, McAfee has expressed his distrust of governments and centralized banking systems.

But it's a pity, with John McAfee's words below,

Quote
When Coined Times asked McAfee whether Dimon was a hypocrite for changing his views on crypto, McAfee was much more moderate in his response. He said JPMorgan’s reason for and strategy behind creating its own crypto “interests me little.”

He's always fickle (unable to maintain his thoughts), I think John McAfee's behavior is no different than the old John McAfee.

As per the article:

However, when Coined Times asked McAfee whether Dimon was a hypocrite for changing his views on crypto, McAfee was much more moderate in his response. He said JPMorgan’s reason for and strategy behind creating its own crypto “interests me little.”

I would say that John is somewhat right, it doesn't interest anyone in the crypto verse. JPM coin is for their exclusive used only, so it doesn't have any effect on the market whatsoever. I wouldn't say it's crypto as well because anyone couldn't invest on it because it's going to be a private token with private ledger.

I think their coins is going to promote cryptocurrencies market in a way and any things that will make big institutions like Jpm adopting blockchain technology is a well developments in cryptocurrencies world.  McAfee comment has been influencing the market and I think this time is no different.

He said that coin will succeed only if public chooses it. I do not think that JPM coin will be open to everyone, to public.  Roll Eyes
Public is not going to choose it imo. I also thinks same thing. There is no concrete steps for developing the adoption to new crytpocurrency.

JPM coin would be one of the best coin we the consumers ever have(aside from Bitcoin). I agree that the coin powers will remain with people and JPM will help the cryptocurrency gain more power in the future. Even if JPM will be in the industry, I would say it will be great and cryptocurrency will grow more and more and i can tell that it will develop. If everyone will use crypcurrency, it would reach the market and will build a concrete new industry. I would also be more than happy to sit and talk with John McAfee though even they say an old guy and crazy. Wink

John McAfee have clearly put forth the statement what it is success in the cryptocurrency market. Being the top financial institution it is easy for them to launch their own cryptocurrency. But the success is defined by the people, the same is said by John McAfee. If people begin to support JPM it is a success which takes time to know the reality.

John mcafee only cares about coins that pay him to shill their project.
We can't also be sure if he's done with that paid shilling that he did before. Once we go into the bull run again, he's attitude that has been shown before might go back.

John mcafee only cares about coins that pay him to shill their project. JPM is an internal coin only, as he can't profit from it he doesn't care and neither should we

correct, john mc afee soon will be an ordinary paid and corrupt "crypto" expert

especially once crypto has destroyed the soild which is sustaining his equity wealth, he will become an ordinary trash talker

Their coin only has power if we, the people, choose to endow it with such.

This statement has a far deeper meaning that we can think of. That's the power of decentralization and this is something that JPM coin would not devour. I strongly agree with John and his statements related to Jemie.

JPM finally understands that crypto economy is the imminent future and if he doesn't change his stance towards crypto, his business will be doomed sooner than expected.

However, I strongly doubt that JPM coin will be decentralized in nature. Because as a Bank, JPM will try to account every single thing under their own control. But I haven't yet seen their whitepaper and I don't have any technical information about it. So the last paragraph is what I am guessing!
