I agree mate ignore it, let's accept the recent price of bitcoin people dreaming bitcoin hit again price more than 20,000$ before end of this year hoping dream come true. 100,000$ for bitcoin price is very impossible to rieach it quickly but it possible to reach that value 10 year from now.

I agree.I do believe that one of these days,bitcoin price will really make it to $100k but dreaming it would reach somehow into a million,it might happen but it would really take 20 or 30 years from now.For now,i'm already satisfied with the current growth of bitcoin that is happening in the market and if this growth will not take a pause,hopefully this will go beyond $20k i guess.

We need also to hear their opinions because even he has boastful attitude, maybe his trying to tell something. Just like, we should buy it immediately because someday it will move up to 30K dollars. He just tell us the possibility for bitcoin to move up but his opinion is too exagerated.

I worry about this. If it hits 100k then what if what happened when it hit 20k happens? I know a lot of people who a sour to Bitcoin because of that. And if we encourage people out of this field to buy because they trust what McAfee says, then it can hurt them. Just let it reach a million naturally and don't just go by what some guys says.

Anyone can make a prediction about Bitcoin and it is either correct or not correct, in my own point of view it is not impossible for Bitcoin to reach $100k US dollars if the bullish market continues to move positively just like what it is happening right now. If you check the movement of Bitcoin in November 2017 its value is playing around $7,000 to $ 8,000 US dollars and within a month it already reached its all-time high at that time and what am I saying here it is not impossible for us to reach that according to the figures of the movement shown on Coinmarketcap.

It's a very strange prediction because there's a big gap between 100 thousand and 1 million. A million dollars per coin is such a big price that we'd need full adoption for it to happen. People would have to compete for every coin on the market but why should they if there's still no way to spend it.

Going from 100 thousand to 1 million can take 10 years. We will be in the era of quantum computing by then.

Yes, I agree with many people in this forum that we should not take his words to heart. Each bitcoin holder can also make a prediction on its price in the future, but this does not mean that you need to believe everyone.

I stand to disagree with Mcafee on his comment about the value of btc what he did know or hiding at least he has to proved it with a solid and valid evidence to back his acclaimed value of bitcoin breaking $100K first else every bitcoin enthusiast will never take his comments serious again, of recent he had been predicting outrageous values of bitcoin of which most had been pure exaggerations.

To my opinion John McAfee is not relevant for any Bitcoin prediction. There are too.many experts that are given to many attention without reason. I think such predictions are pure speculations, exaggerated and without any solid ground so I wouldn't bother about this at all.

As for the rest of it, I'm going to say... yes.

Someone said the REALLY hard part was getting from 0 to $10. I dunno about that. A small group of people can get excited enough about something to give it nominal value even if no one else cares.

At 100k the leg work is long out of the way and enough people in enough places believe it has significant value. It can grow from there even if it's nothing other than the dollar losing value against it.

The key though is whether it sustains. I can imagine a truly fevered bubbled causing sellers to go on strike which gets you that headline figure but it may not stick for more than a few seconds. That makes it largely meaningless.

I just don't want Bitcoin to go up to 1 million so this guy isn't right. Because I'm sure if one day Bitcoin goes up to $ 1 million, he's gonna show up and say I said it.

I dislike these kind of personalities simply because they could dish anything, without bearing any responsibility and for f sake the media are still catching their words, probably some writers having nothing to do but Tom lees and John Mcafees. Yet i understand the impact of mere words cause some people just will take it as holy guidance, advice, insight whatever it is, sadly the public are sometimes too shallow to understand the decentralized market as whole. So personnel are making good price/prediction model, retesting strategies yet struggle to make a good call, yet far less people are giving attention to these people.

Well, he’s the future presidential candidate and that’s why the hype should be made under his name. We know the true bitcoin price in the future, and its not because of John, he’s getting old now and maybe that’s why he create such prediction same thing with Craig. Bitcoin will hit $20k up to $50k at the period of 5years but not $100k.

I wouldn’t count on that yet. I also don’t believe the claims of that time traveler guy from 2025 who says that BTC would reach $100,000 this year.

Of course, I would love to see Bitcoin grow, but heading towards $100k this year seems “too good to be true”. Right now, Bitcoin’s price is steadying above $10.5k, and it’s a pretty much healthier and matured type of growth compare to 2017.

Back in 2017, Bitcoin reached an all-time high of almost $20k due to hype and the rise of ICOs before crashing down to $3k. Now the growth looks steady as ever, and I believe that it will continue that way rather than believing of the $100k happening by the end of this year.

However, I could be wrong too. Let’s just see what’s in store for us in the next few months. Wink
