OK... Perhaps now he should end his Russophobic rants and retire from active politics. I have a good deal of respect for him, due to the fact that he courageously faced the torture as a POW in Vietnam. However, his recent behavior in the senate was quite disappointing. He was acting like a RINO, and contributed in worsening the US-Russian relations.

That was mean.

Now is the time for him to bow out knowing the exact nature of his condition. He's not medically fit the job anymore. He's done his time, for better or worse. It's time to get some new blood in Washington.

This is something that you'd expect for him to do, though it's just not going to happen. It doesn't make sense for him to do this, why would he relinquish his power to someone else while he can simply milk it until his term ends? It may sound shitty, and it completetly is, but he should milk what he can and then bow out when he's forced to -- given his health allows him to do this without any sort of issue stooping him from making decisions.

Wishing him a quick recovery. Brain cancer is disastrous to the victim and the entire family! He has served his country to the fullest, though some of his moves were questionable.

But I will say this, even if I was never a fan of McCain I do hope him a speedy recovery.

I don't like how John McCain has been in the government for over 30 years. We need term limits. He is part of the Swamp and it is sad to see that the only way to get a Senator out of office is by him being 80 years old and soon to be on his deathbed.

He has done a ton of shady stuff and there is pictures of him visiting Al Qaeda(which we fund). I hold no sympathy for someone who personally helped create Al Qaeda and ISIS at all. He is responsible for hundreds of thousands dying or even millions, and tens of millions being forced to retreat from their homeland.

He is an absolute scumbag through and through. For someone who was held captive as a prisoner he sure doesn't give a flying F about the hundreds of thousands to millions he got killed by funding terrorism.

Nobody should have any sympathy for this Monarch who ruled his Senate seat for 30 years because of corrupt parties who don't let challengers have funding to run against him. No rebpulican challenger can get funding to run against McCain, he literally has to die to get a new person in. That isn't American, we need term limits.

I understand that you might have issues against Mc Cain but the issue here is that the man served his country for years and thats something to be grateful for. In the position of power, people make decisions that are beyond themselves and in which the details and contents are not open to the public but such decisions is for the greater good. I also agree that there should be term limits, in the business of law making, experience matters alot.

Its terrible. Surviving a POW camp and this is how it may end for him....

He is already 80 years old, and he is well past the average male life expectancy in the United States. In countries such as India and Bangladesh, you will be considered lucky if you could survive up to 70 years.

Whether or not you agree or not with John McCain's plans and ideas, people shouldn't be joking about cancer. That thing is one of the most devastating things that can happen to one person's family. Been reading comments on facebook about this; the jokes and trolls about him getting cancer is really really bad.
Agree with you. No matter you like him as politician or not, but to wish him a death, It's shameful to do that.
Even his opponents in politics are wishing all the best to him.
Brain cancer is very difficult to beat, but McCain is a strong person and I hope he will beat cancer.

Explains a lot.

Exactly what crossed my mind when i heard the news, he should just go so that the US has peace, he is only concerned about waging war and sending people to their deaths, he doesn't care about innocent lives and we dont know what he seeks to accomplish too.

If it is your time then it will be your time.  Considering that he is already 80 years old then I do not want to be bad but he already gone through the past year of 75 years old.  People say that it is the year where it is said that you meet the life expectancy.  Anyways, he is such a good man that is why everyone is looking up to him for him to be recovered.  But I do not think that at his age of 80 he would be able to surpass the side effects of chemotherapy.  Maybe it is better to try some healthy alternative of it.

I don't want him to die. But we don't need RINOs in the senate, especially from a deep-red state such as Arizona. He has betrayed his voters by siding with the illegal immigrants. He needs to be replaced with someone saner.

He has had that for at least as long as he has held office. The proof is the way he tries to take freedom away from the American people. I think he got it when he was in the military, fighting in a foreign country.

Cool

Does not explain anything. He thinks much better than many people who do not have health problems. After the election, Trump the President of America I think that half of America had a problem with the brain. Maybe it's the epidemic?

He may think better than half the people in Washington, but it's WHAT he thinks about that bothers me.

When a person believes that the only solution to any problem is through war-like actions, you have the question that person.
