I have always been confused about crypto currencies and how they work... how they are stabilised and regulated but with the present plight and constant devaluation of my country's currency, it's safe to say I need to learn, practice and own a safer landing, the banking systems are not helping with constant maintenance levies and network issues. I'm aware that there is no perfect place but anywhere with a more better solution is more preferable. Cheers to the beginning of a new journey.

Cheers for joining this forum, OP!

Your journey starts here- as you slowly learn about cryptocurrencies, it is safe to assume that they can be a good store-for-value investment due to its price constantly increasing on the market. Even if your local currency devalues due to inflation, cryptocurrencies are relatively better as an investment mechanism for long-term growth.

Enjoy the ride and let cryptocurrencies change on how you would view investments for the future, OP.

The working system of crypto currency and fiat currency may be different. To know where the differences are, you need to study them. Sometimes both currency systems have to be used in everyday life, even if you learn that the cryptocurrency system works better than the state currency system.

You don't have to be confused any longer since you have found yourself in bitcointalk community, as newbie who started the journey of cryptocurrency and especially bitcoin newly in the forum, it will be easier for you to comprehend about bitcoin easily with your serious and you also knows your target as well, what I really want you to understand concerning the journey of bitcoin is that, the journey of bitcoin have to do with your inquisitiveness by advocating time to make necessary investigations of bitcoin properly, their is something I want us to understand concerning bitcoin as well, bitcoin is a digital and decentralized currency which can be seen but can not be touched base on it's technology, so if you are venturing into bitcoin investment you have to be aware of the negative impact of bitcoin as a coin and positive impact of it as well,  because some people doesn't been informed properly before venturing into bitcoin investment and sometimes when the price of bitcoin devalued and those newbie invest becomes inquisitive and curious to sell out what they have invested on, and secondly what I want us to understand is that we are not supposed to panic when we invest in bitcoin, that is while it's advisable to invest in any cryptocurrency and mostly bitcoin with your spare finance.

Bitcoin is a currency which is also an asset, the price of bitcoin can go up and down depending on market demand, the more market needs bitcoin, the more expensive the price becomes. Bitcoin is decentralized and no one can control or freeze your bitcoins, unlike centralized banks which can freeze your money easily

However, if you plan to save your money in bitcoin, you should first study bitcoin price movements because they are very volatile. On the one hand you can make a profit and on the other hand you can also lose because of it. So you must have an analysis of what you do with bitcoin, so that you don't take the wrong steps in managing your finances.

No need to be confused about that, mate, because now you can find more explanations from people on this forum as well as from people around you who may have already known about all these things in the past. Apart from that, you can also read it on several websites which have been written and explained in detail about cryptocurrencies and how they work so that it makes it easier for you to read them quite carefully. You just need more reading to increase your knowledge about cryptocurrencies and how they work and you can get that here or on the two websites that I will recommend below.

Welcome to the forum and crypto space. Inflation is really telling on the price of everything, and the case is even worse in some countries with the devaluation of Fiat, which is also worse. It's quit telling on us because by the time one goes shopping, you discover that the purchasing power of the money you had has just reduced and you could not purchase much. This is usually the reason why some people are looking for a safe heaven. This time around, most people are not keeping a huge amount of money in the bank; they are rather looking for a safe asset that can yield more profit than the little profit the bank offers to give, which can still be worthless after inflation has taken its toll.

I have always been confused about crypto currencies and how they work

What exactly is confusing about it, you just need a time to learn about it, have you tried out something on your own, have you created time to learning cryptocurrency.

how they are stabilised and regulated

Cryptocurrencies are volatile, which means they are not stable, bitcoin is not centralized, it's a decentralized digital currency and is not regulated by central authorities, it works strictly by it protocols on the blockchain technology and cannot be altered or changed by anyone.

You are in the right place to know how bitcoin works and to have the proper knowledge on how to invest in bitcoin. It is very sad to see how inflation devalue our hard earn money, base on the country that one is from. Bitcoin is a store of value and is used as an hedge to inflation. You can save your funds in bitcoin so that the value wouldn't depreciate.

You should take your time to naviaget round the forum to see boards of your interest and also use the search engine to find topics of your interest. Only invest in what you can afford to lose because bitcoin is volatile in nature so that you don't panic when bitcoin price foes below you entry point. Use a noncustodial wallet like electrum wallet or blue wallet for your mobile wallet, and don't expose your seedphrase to anyone. Back up your seedphrase by writing it on a pieces of paper and keep them in three different location very from each other.

But gradually when I got to know about everything then I gained some experience about Bitcoin. However, we still don't know much about Bitcoin, there are unknowns, but if we try to know everything well, we can know safely. But if you want to gain good experience, you must know and understand all the subjects to be successful. Moreover, if you want to earn profit, you have to be skilled in various things, then everything will be easy for you, if you keep trying, you will surely succeed. Good luck on your Bitcoin journey and welcome.

Yes, you are right. Your concern about banking system problems and currency devaluation is a problem that cannot be avoided by everyone. And you are absolutely right, if we want to survive in these uncertain economic conditions we must be able to follow and study existing developments to maintain and improve the value of the assets we own and to establish financial freedom for ourselves.

Welcome to the forum. As you already know, adding bitcoin to your portfolio can be a good way to hedge against inflation. My country also suffer from the same problems you speak of, the value of our currency keeps falling down against the US dollar, and this makes the cost of living to go high because we import most of what we consume. Bitcoin is the cheapest way to beat the current system, people living in poor countries understand this the most, that is why Bitcoin is more popular in developing countries than developed nations.

I understand your confusion related to your banking system and it is a good option for you to invest it in cryptocurrencies. I see you are interested in cryptocurrency and there is a valid reason behind it. In your country, the devaluation of your local currency occurs and for that, you want to minimize your loss and you are willing to invest it in cryptocurrencies. But bro it's not that simple, Cryptocurrency is highly volatile and can fluctuate at every movement, and you could lose your money. If you are serious about cryptocurrency then I recommend you start more research on it and learn more about it. Once you know about it completely then you will minimize your loss and maybe you will succeed in it. Knowledge is everywhere about cryptocurrency like a library or YouTube etc. which can easily help you.

Forget the banking system, switch to a decentralized system that cannot be regulated by the government or any authority. Bitcoin can help you get caught up in the inflation that is happening in various countries, switch to an independent system that cannot be regulated or tampered with by the government which keeps society in uncertainty.
Start learning little by little the system that can bring changes to you in managing your finances, there are many things you need to master that are still new to Cryptocurrency technology. Don't hesitate to ask more senior members in the forum, they will immediately answer your questions and direct you to your desired destination.

You take a good step to take another direction different from your local currency due to constant devaluation and the boring banking system that is not beneficial to you but beneficial to the owners of the bank since they use your money to do business and give out loans with high interest, while bitcoin investment will give you profit and it will not lose value like fiat, and if you invest in a non-custodial wallet, you will be in control of your money, unlike banks that you need to follow due process to get your money back.
