This topic is unnecessary, Because admin want newbies to have quality entries, not because they have 30 active to get Jr rank so they can Bounty signature and they can spam as much as they like

Hi
They demoted me too .
I just don't understand why they are doing so!

You just have to read the latest update to understand what is happening to you. Have you done it before you complain here?

So, OP, what will you do with this thread? I'd suggest you lock this thread and send a pm to theymos for the list if you really wanted to do a research.

With thousands of users who got demoted because of that update I guess it will by far much just being on a bounty spreadsheet, more like 10 bounty spreadsheets. And for sure to identify every users with it might not be gathered accurately as DdmrDdmr had just said.

What I will advise is how about those persons who got Jr. Members and got 1+ merit after the update. That would be less tiring I suppose, just giving out an opinion.

In my opinion, this would be a useless endavour, the best way to earn merits is to post constructive posts in the forum, posts that helps other members and even if an administrator does not give you merit, a member who your post has helped might give you a merit.
Moreover, are you aware that millions of people might be registered in this forum and although j am not sure of the statistics, atleast 50% of those numbers are junior members or below? How do you intend to compliment that list into anything that can be ready a single human?

I have a question. Why am I over 30 active but still a newbie?

This can be understood by reading it all

Alas I probably cannot get this list (I was too optimistic there), since the driver for most of my stuff is sMerit and deranked  Jr. Members had no merit at the time. Upgrading are on the other hand detectable, since they move from 0 to 1 or above sMerits… sorry for getting hopes up there …
Oops that means you're also a human like us and not a superhuman Cheesy Now it's our only hope is @theymos will reveal the demoted user list in near future.

Where have you been buddy last few days? Big boss has been changed the rules.

Due to excessive garbage-posting, you now need 1 merit to be a Jr Member. All existing Jr Members who didn't meet the requirement were demoted.

BTW I have looked at your post history and you're not a spammer. So enjoy the new rank. See you around and hoping you will help the other members too while you learning from the forum. just a copycat plagarism user.

You should be banned for plagarism and fortunately I have checked randomly one of your post before awarding a Merit.

The way to get the list would be really:
a)   The obvious easy way would be to ask @Theymos, who may or may not release it in full.

b)   Even trying to do the task from a snapshot (*) would not be 100% accurate. Say for example a Jr. was deranked on the first day, but ranked back up on the second day. Both the snapshot and the current database would state the user a Jr. Member, since he ranked back up between both database instances.

(*) Getting a proper full DB snapshot is really in the hands of a few even so. @Vod has higher chances (if he has a complete DB backup from the date the change was performed, but reparsing the whole database is done every couple of weeks I think, so those demoted and re-ranked would not be captured as I stated above.

You can say that because you are not affected about this demotion, what I’m just trying to do is to have a list of people who is willing to do their best and willing to work hard so we can be seen.

What he posted is not related to his position. Can't you understand that he simply said what you're going to do is a waste because theymos already has the list? In other words, you can simply ask theymos to give you the demoted list of Jr. Member and then do your research. It will save your time, a lot.
I also agree with @joniboini and if you hesitate to ask from @theymos wait until next update of Bitcointalk Merit dashboard, prepared by DdmrDdmr. He is the "stat guru" of bitcointalk and he is now working to scrapping the snapshot of Jr. Members who have been demoted. Then, OP can find the list and do whatever you think with that data Smiley

Monitoring the results of the changes is a must. I've given it some thought on what needs to be adapted in the Merit Dashboard and the Cumulative Database from where I derive all my stuff, and for now I've listed:

- Snapshot of Jr. Members (last Friday's version will have to do), to see how many/who has been demoted (I show a demoted tab on the Merit Dashboard, so it will fit in there).

- Up-ranked from Newbie to Jr. Member (or any other rank). This has some twists, but I think I've got the idea of how to track this.

- Copper Members may increase noticeably. Maybe I should try to virtualize the rank for copper members and add an attribute that say copper yes/no (i.e. a Copper Member with 10 Merits would be a Member really, with a copper attribute=’yes’). The idea would be to treat copper members as regular ranks, and not a single group as I do now.

- and a few more…

Of course, we may also expect to get more volume of data, so things may take a little longer. In summary, I’m on it …

You need to be careful - some merit awarders might copy it onto their ignore lists.  In reality you are creating a list of apparent failures, and this will not be true of all members on the list.

this is like being desperate of having merits, the more you do this merit source will avoid you. if you really want merits to find a topic your interested or knowledgeable at, I'm pretty sure you can give good conversation to the topic. doing that regularly sooner or later merit source will notice you.

And what is point of such masterlist? Are planning to collect all these demoted users manually? I hope you know that there tens or hundred thousands of such members, there are no chance that all of them will post here. You simply can use detailed search to find all Newbies with activity >30.
Guys as we know there is 36 sources to collect merit for newbies and all other members so come down and give some patients to collect it
There are 120 Merit sources, if I'm not mistaken theymos recently added ~30 new Merit sources.

this is unnecessary
if you got the time to collect the demoted list and research it
why not you use the time to think how to create a quality post
1 merit really not that hard to earn
just only 1 merit

In my point of view creating a masterlist of demoted members is not worthy my buddy. theymos already mention that nothing will work till you dont get a merit.
Try to make good post gain good idea in cryptocurrency field the merit point begin to flow.
Thank you

Hi everyone! I will create this post to gather information about the list of jr.members that has been demoted to create a masterlist.

My purpose is for those merit givers to see and monitor our work, this will help us bring up the effort that we are trying to give and to help the new merit sources to lessen their work.

Just post your profile name in here and please do not spam  because I will try to do an updated master list from time to time. Thank you!

You are creating a string for spam. This is the place to discuss Bitcoin. High ranking people will not have time to view the list at this topic. Everything will happen in a natural way. When they enjoy some commentary, they will give merit. Do not waste time on this topic. Please close it.

Is this necessary? Creating a masterlist of demoted members is redundant since theymos have all the list as well as their Signatures.

I don't see the purpose of this thread, this will just be another spam thread.

i’m one of those who is doing my reasearch before sharing something but still the merit points will still be on the hand of the reader.
