I wonder why post like this is not getting enough response,this is a post that have addressed a major issue in the crypto sphere,i hope we can have the right people with the right mindset fill up the crypto sphere,t be candid,Blochchain tech and Cryptocurrency has a lot of potential waiting to be explore.
Yes, the idea behind crypto is for it to solve problems and to be a medium of exchange better than fiats but it is also an investment vehicle and the reason for this is because of its fixed supply which tends to increase its value as many people are using it in their day to day transactions
So many new developments happen in this sector and industry leaves the useless traces behind. New projects are able to change the traditional world form 1 to 9 if they are gonna be successful.

Greed and selfishness is the reason why the world economy is a near mess. The obscurity and decentralization make up of the cryptocurrency cryptography has given opportunity to some people to run scams freely in cryptocurrency. I am happy that cyptocurency ecosystem is every dynamic and evolving to finding best ways to solve its problems. That is why we have IEOs now
I think almost everyone who gets to this forum is atleast aware of what cryptocurrency is so i think there is no need to define cryptocurrency here what we should do is create more awareness campaigns, we should look how crypto adoption can increase, how a common man can access and use crypto, what should be the marketing or promotional strategy to reach the masses, such topics are required and will be much more productive.
It might sound funny trying the explain what cryptocurrency is all about, but I think it is needed now than ever because people are changing the ideology of crypto being the cryptocurrency created for decentralized transaction to a platform were we can make purchase of coins and begin to hope that the price goes high so that we can make a lot of profit. We need to stop focusing on just the price of crypto and start focusing on the technology.
maybe instead of "reminders" and stating of the obvious problems in this market we should start discussing about possible solutions to eliminate such problems and such bad mentalities that have formed up in the past couple of years among the newcomers who enter this market and instead of facing with the technology itself they face a large amount of advertisements from altcoin creators who are telling them their coin is the best thing with lots of false promise.
there are still many people who don't know cryptocurrency and they only know bitcoin, all crypto they call bitcoin. whereas crypto technology is a blockchain. this requires learning to the public so as not to misinterpret and get caught up in a scam
Blockchain technology is indeed designed for a transaction, but it has many other advantages. Currently, this technology is used in the investment market. Now there are not many companies that have already transferred their assets to Crypto. Now we are waiting for the rise, so these technologies are the future.

I believe it too. Although we know that cryptocurrency still on the progress to develop more, we can see that cryptocurrency have a bright future and people will the benefits of cryptocurrency soon. Many people still underestimate the crypto because they still think that crypto could only help the illegal thing but the truth, if they can learn something, they will found that the crypto already helps many people to get a better financial.
People getting into greed is common and the same hasn't striked the users mind without reason. There are lot of users who have turned millionaires just through making an investment into some ico or on bitcoin. This all happened on cryptocurrency. Several of these incidents creates greed, why we can't be the same. This is how things happen, majority of the users understand and move according to the market while few keeps on investing more.
The question is, if we keep doing it that way and everyone keeps investing without making use of the crypto as payment, wont it eventually defeat the objective of the block chain technology.Just like OP mentioned, majority of us are seeing it strictly from the aspect of investment and we pump in money for the purpose of multiplying it and any little increase in price, we pull out our funds if we are lucky to buy at bottom, this is quite wrong and bad for the system, all we will end up getting yearly is an unstable coin with so many pump and dump going on, I don’t think the market will ever become less volatile with the conception.

it is not the "best" way but it is the easiest, fastest and cheapest way to make the most amount of profit in the shortest amount of time that is why pump and dumps are the dominant reason why any altcoin exists specially the top ones.Quote

i hope that too but i gave up on altcoins a while ago and i am only focusing on bitcoin and use altcoins to increase my bitcoin wealth because in my experience bitcoin is the only thing that matters.

As you menntion in your post, this is the reason of the proliferation of scams.. with all "wanna-be-rich" in a while that pot threads like "tell me a coin to make a x1000 return". Before investing in anything, ask yourself about the case of use of this project.. it is useful? solves a problem? will be accepted massively? For me, the best of cryptocurrencies is the lack of requiring a third party, this will lower the price on many many many many many sectors
Nothings can make these impatient guys rich overnight,even 1000x cryptos or shitcoins. Elimintaing the third parties or medium companies can be advantage but using this advantage for accelerating the mass adoption is better idea than competing with big payment companies.

The key utility of cryptocurrency is just to transfer value or make transactions in a secure, cheap and obscured manner. Any other value or technology it offers it just an added merit
