but,on expedia.co.uk i dont found payment via bitcoins. "Payments accepted on expedia.co.uk include American Express, Diner's Club International, Maestro, MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron and PayPal."
It good to buy your trip with btc. I think that it is very good. And it is also good to pay with btc.
It must be more worth that will be good. Also for the future. And I hope that it will be also more more used.

Wow, this is amazing. We can pay our bills using bitcoin and pay some merchants but not a Plane Ticket. I hope this mode of payment in airline tickets gets to most countries Smiley

Excellent. Did you book everything including the hotel, flight, ground transport, meals and guides?

Maybe you can throw a few message-in-a-bottle with loaded bitcoin paper wallet while you enjoy the beach. Someone might pick it up one day!

I would love it to plan a vacation, accommodation, spending budget and travel expenses that are funded only by bitcoins so I don't need to use my credit cards or cash. I would buy a lot of pre-paid cards in the country I am in and try to live entirely on Bitcoin every day. I think this could be a great adventure and achievement showing that Bitcoin is real and can help you survive in a foreign country.

Booking a trip using BTC is a great idea, not just because you are using BTC , but that always gives rise to more innovative ideas. I think such ideas will give rise to more people using BTC at more places.

This is great news to know that nowadays you can buy almost anything with bitcoin, even houses. I saw a luxury site that was selling villas in bitcoin. I have a dream one day to buy a house with bitcoins I earn but it will take me time again to accumulate as I am starting from scratch.  Smiley

That is really cool. I would definitely book my next trip with Bitcoin, but I barely have 2 Bitcoin. That really isn't enough for a holiday.

That's pretty impressive and innovative, I think this is good for both you and them as it saves tax and such issues. I think this would encourage more people to buy and sell such things and more of such ideas will get powered.

Congrats for your booking with bitcoin. I want ask something, is there any advantage using bitcoin for pay your trip ? It's rare to find a travel who accept bitcoin i my country.
The obvious advantage of using bitcions in there are no taxes involved and trip cost could be reduced. Secondly it all available online and their is no paper work involved with faster transactions.

Do they really accept Bitcoin? It is really cool to see that more companies are accepting Bitcoin.

Yeah, that's really a great news to hear that companies have started to take initiatives now to accept bitcoins as a mode of payment, and this is just a beginning, we would find more companies in future too.

Hmm, i checked the site for different countries and it seems like bitcoin payment is not available for all countries at the moment. I guess it is only in USA for now.

Here is details;

Paying with Bitcoin

Powered by Coinbase. Our acceptance of Bitcoin is powered by our partner, Coinbase. We do not guarantee and are not responsible for the availability of Coinbase’s services. To complete your booking, you will be re-directed to Coinbase’s website, where you will see the total cost of your booking in Bitcoin, based on an exchange rate set by Coinbase. The Bitcoin price for your booking will remain valid for 10 minutes. If you do not initiate a payment during this time, the Bitcoin exchange rate will be updated and the Bitcoin price for your booking may change.
Bitcoin network transaction fees. As with nearly all Bitcoin transactions, a very small transaction fee (a “miner’s fee”) will be added by the Bitcoin network to the total cost in Bitcoin of your booking if you are sending Bitcoin from a non-Coinbase wallet. This fee covers the cost of verifying Bitcoin transactions. Expedia has no control over this fee and does not receive any portion of the fee.
Bitcoin transactions are final. Once you initiate a Bitcoin transaction, you cannot cancel it (provided however that you may seek a refund per our refund policy described below). This is inherent in the nature of the Bitcoin network, not a policy set by Expedia.
Under payments and over payments. If, using a Coinbase wallet, you attempt to initiate a payment of Bitcoins different from the exact cost of the booking indicated by Coinbase, your booking will not complete. If, using a non-Coinbase wallet, you initiate a payment of Bitcoins different from the exact cost (plus miner’s fees) of the booking indicated by Coinbase your booking will not complete however your payment maybe processed by the Bitcoin network, in which case your payment will be refunded by Coinbase. After a failed payment you will be required to re-submit payment for the correct amount in order to complete the booking and the Bitcoin exchange rate may update.
Transactions complete once confirmed. Once a Bitcoin transaction is submitted to the Bitcoin network, it will be unconfirmed for a period of time (usually about an hour, but sometimes longer) pending full verification of the transaction by the Bitcoin network. A transaction is not complete until it is fully verified.

I thought the travel website is directly providing the facility. Now it looks to be with much flaws. Only the bitcoin in coinbase wallet can be well used. If the transaction delay occurs the process getting interrupted and has to wait to know whether bitcoin got deducted or not.

Btw, there is also another company called cheapair.com which accepts payments in Bitcoin. I think this site is international and can be used by anyone.
