For countless of times Bitcoin has been put to death by many speculators. People who do not fully understand the system and so they spread FUD's to create confusion and panic within the community. Bitcoin will stay for a long time. It's inevitable!

Bitcoin is the victim of a FUD from BCH so the price has dropped dramatically now, if indeed BCH wants to overthrow Bitcoin, I think that won't be possible, because BCH is the result of the Fork of Bitcoin, so BCH developers must realize that. Let's see the increase in the price of Bitcoin after this, because Bitcoin will not die.

Some part of the risky money will definitely enter the market soon or even now, but that's not this money that can support or turn the bear market into a bull market. The risk/reward ratio is what makes traders in, and though it's quite good now in the long run, no one can by 100% guarantee that btc will not break the global ascending trend. And if that does happen, there will be a huge collapse firstly to $3000 and then maybe even lower.

I don't think normal investor now jump in and buy because they are currently worried for a sudden price drop and may wait for some more time to see whether prices can go still low. These people regret later for not buying some coins now. Only people who want to risk their money to earn a better profit will jump in now. Just hold and wait for better days soon.

That's the whole point, people don't bite, they just talk. I remember back when we were hovering around the $15,000 level how people were almost begging for the price to dip below $10,000 so they could buy, and when it finally happens they pull back. People don't have the balls to buy when the market goes down, because they believe it can go down way further. They are afraid.

Not sure what caused this dump, and I don't even care to be honest, but I'm glad that I managed to buy a good number of sub $5500 coins yesterday.

yes for sure, definitely it's not yet the end for bitcoin. we should remember that bitcoin is the most popular coin as it is the most valuable coin in the market, and also the most volume coin in terms of supply. so, don't worry now just wait patiently guys! its not the end of bitcoin as we think it's primary price was at 0.1$ and that's too far for it's price now.

The speculations around btc always change, but the market cycles remain quite clear so far. We must rather walk through the dark while being guided by the logic of market cycles than new&shilling.

Agreed. I can some fools running around the forum spreading the world that 'This is the end of Bitcoin' and I am not surprised by any of these statements since FUDers always find a way to spread FUD whenever the market crashes.

Bitcoin has survived far worse situations than this one in the past and has always come out strong which is why I urge everyone not to fall for such statements and instead continue HODLING all your cryptocurrency assets for the long term.

The problem is not primarily with the people on this forum. The FUD and confusion is spread by mainstream media that does not understand the technical aspects of this technology. They hear something about a war in the Crypto currency world and then they type "Bitcoin fork" and they land on some article covering the Bitcoin Cash fork and when they create their own article for mainstream media, the incorrectly base their so-called facts on something that they misunderstood.

There is just no medicine for stupidity and also people who are doing this deliberately.  Angry

Idk but the FUD was because of the miners issues. But the movers in this category are mostly technical traders and speculators and not hodlers. As hodlers has long been gone accepted that this market is going to reverse not anytime soon.

5700 is a logical price that will likely be followed by 5300 and 4700. That's okay - we are in a bear market now.

People are running for the hills, because they think the sky is falling and this is the end of Crypto currencies.  Roll Eyes

Nope

This whole spectacle has started with the FUD that are being spread in mainstream media and the supposed "war" that is happening in the Bitcoin world.

Some of us dont watch that stuff

All of this is causing massive confusion amongst people , who does not know the difference between Bitcoin and BITCOIN CASH and now the real Bitcoin is suffering because of that.

We will see a correction after the fork, when these idiots realize that the sky is not falling after all.  Roll Eyes

You realize some of us actually want the scared people to sell, right? We are buying... it will be cheaper... who cares if it goes down 80%. They gambled with money they didn't have while the rest of us store value cheaper and cheaper.

Where is my ring of blades...
the panic is somewhat understandable though because this is a drop below the major buy support line and more importantly it is an unnatural drop. which is why everyone is so confused and scared about it specially the newbies in the market.

The dumb speculators do not know the difference between BITCOIN and BITCOIN CASH , so they see blood on the street and instability, and they start to panic.
they know very well what is going on but the thing is that they love these types of FUD and drops. that is like the bread and butter of a bitcoin speculator! everyone was so bored with bitcoin since the price didn't move at all but now they are happy with this new development.

actually the panic, considering the scale of the FUD, has been pretty small in my opinion.

we have had a lot of FUD recently with bitcoin cash shitshow and a lot of manipulators have become active in past couple of days trying to push the price down. we also had a mass panic that caused this recent drop.
considering this situation and comparing it with previous ones we always had at least a 30% drop in less than 6 hours but as you can see it is barely 10% drop which has stopped in its early stages.
