It baffles me to see dooglus pumping a random toycoin.
So why was this reopened with CLAM? Why wasn't the reopening announced? Why add only CLAM and not BTC?
BTC is able to be sold for USD directly, unlike CLAM.So that was the issue with BTC? That it could, eventually, be sold for USD?
(If that was the issue, JD could have opened with many other coins...)
Does the site shut down again if a CLAM/USD exchange opens up?

Thats because, other sites are not trusted. Recently, another dice site dicebitco did get over 7K BTC invested, but later it turned out that they were skipping nonces,and then just a few days later, they ran away with around 1500 BTC. Also another dice.ninja ran away with the funds.
