That's not correct ... the only way this currency would ever be used everywhere is ... market cap has to go way up .. thousands of trillions ... and guess what's the only way THAT would happen?
Right now it's about 11 billion .... my country's government budget is more!

hold until 1 satoshi = 1 dollar then you can cash out

That is impossible it will never ever happen that 1 satoshi worth 1 dolar, that would be that 1 BTC would cost arround 10 millon dolars or 100 million dolars.

That is insane

Insane =/= Impossible

Give it a few days, newcomers need to wire transfer their FIAT to buy some BTC and they also need to digest the news that they didn't even hear or read about in the paper based news paper Smiley

Remember what happened in April when it crossed a nice round number? $100 it was a press party all the was up to $265 and then it fell sharply to $70.

After that it took many weeks to gradually reach where we are today.
Patience!

Exactly the same thing happened once $10 was broken back in 2011, a quick shot up to $32.

Back then the market cap was ridiculously low  Lips sealed
Of course breaking a psychological barrier might have an effect, but i don't think that the price will be 3k$ any time soon  Tongue

It could easily be $3000 next week. We could see $1000 rise in a day just as we saw when it hit $100.

bitcoin old timers should buy some country with many islands, somewhere in Micronesia, to retire. would be the first country that uses bitcoins exclusively and everybody would have a small island for himself.

I could never retire... always crazy shit to get up to.  Though I like the island idea... need a 3:1 chicks men ratio thou

chicks will follow the money, they always do.

hold those coins! maybe buy something smallish on friday to support the bitcoin black friday....

So true, instead of selling for USD, buy some stuff instead. You will not decrease USD/BTC at exchanges. Win-win situation

Hold now, like me.
Start selling at $10k/btc but no more than 10% of your stash.

Prolly right, I would be compelled to start offloading at $10k. That would be my retirement package right there.

So the deposits since senate hearing arrived today, or something else is going on  Huh

It's starting to get more regular mainstream news attention. Front page of the Times in the UK the other day.

Remember we've got an entire planet of people to get involved, this is way bigger than the dotcom boom.

I'm for holding too ... Wonder if I should buy another 3-4 coins

My thoughts exactly :/ So tempted now... I can see this rising up to $2k+ before a fall back to these levels.
