Or maybe its the learning opportunity that you needed in order to turn your life around. You have the opportunity to turn this awful event into the best thing that ever happened to you. You just have to chose for it to be that.
Completely agree, this is just a learning opportunity. You made a mistake but you can correct it. Everyone has a multiple mistakes but they make it a learning experience.

Life lesson: Don't fucking gamble, especially with a large amount, just don't, no matter how tempting it is.
I hope you learned something from this, I really do, the amount of people that come here screaming about their losses from doing something stupid you'd think people would pick up that gambling etc. is a pretty bad idea.

I'll never understand that. You guys are easy to pick out at casinos around the tables as well. You can just see if from the look on their face, "well, there goes the mortgage, and now she's really going to leave me".
