I beg to differ, graffiti can be vandalism if some kid buys a spray can and scribble "fuk da polize" on the wall but graffiti can also be considered as art and require much more effort and talent. We have special spots designed for graffiti made available by the city council and we are not vandals. Can't say we don't bomb international trains occasionally and do wholecars but thats completely different story Wink

Graffiti can be considered art, but it's still vandalism if you don't get permission regardless of how much artistic intent there is.

This is really shitty crooked letter and this alone. Graffiti is art and that ugly BTC is just horrible. This is clearly only vandalism to me. You said that there were a lot of inscriptions on that statue. This is no reason to add another even uglier one. I would donate BTC only to  pay for restoration of this statue and to erase this crass BTC sign.

Now he's acting like he only took a picture of it, but didn't actually make it.
What would be worse: a) You actually did make this - vandalism; b) You tried to take credit for someone else's work ?

A fun idea, but poor execution IMHO.

Why not use a stencil to do something that looks better?  Why not put this mark on a local Bank or financial institution?  Seems a better target than a historical column.

So I live in the oldest town in Europe, Vinkovci

and there is this monument that isn't really maintained, it's from around 1897 or so I think

It's in the center of the city, next to the walking zone, Saturdays are filled with people in the park where the logo is located, it will get lots of exposure
Near the bus stop, near the gymnasium (visible at the right on the google maps picture below), right in front of the Great Church and between a couple of coffee shops

This is the initial monument

Since it's full of jibber-jabber, I decided to make a bitcoin logo
It isn't really visible in the dark, looks a lot better during the day

The monument can be viewed from a distance on google maps

Saturdays get really crowded up there, there is a festival called Vinkovci autumn where around 500 000 people visit the town, when it happens all of them will see the logo in the center of the city Cheesy

Lol
God damn it, why does no one trust me at the internet Cheesy
The picture was taken at night because I live outside the town and I get in the center only when I go out, at night of course
Ths thread is making me laugh so hard Cheesy

I would never do such  a thing
For starters I never used paint, I'm well known to be one of the guys who loves the town, I alwYs brag how we're the 2nd oldest town in the world, did 2 articles about it in our local newspaper Cheesy
I folloe our football club altough we fell out  the first division, I'm like the bigest local patriot around
Would never harm a monument since I'm a historian too, spend my time learning our history even went on regional championship twice..
This goes against everything I believe in
I just took a picture to get some donations, that's all

*cough* bullshit *cough*. Enjoy your jailtime, punk lol.
He's making this too easy.
Now he's going into a defensive stance and writing a lot of useless text to get out of trouble.

Quite possibly.

Has there actually been any cool Bitcoin grafiti yet?

Did you see this? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.6280751

If I said I lived in Narnia would you believe me?

nope, my profile says Kings Landing but I got the impression you're british before I checked your profile

I must have seen it somewhere

Living in the Kingdom of United doesn't necessarily make you British.

I said I got the impression from somewhere else earlier , doesn't mean I wasn't mistaken Cheesy
