It doesn't make sense. First of all, Elon is not replacing somebody who is not pro Bitcoin. So this is not a choice between a pro-Bitcoin and anti-Bitcoin Twitter owner. We all know how Jack Dorsey strongly supported Bitcoin. Furthermore, forget about crypto tipping on Twitter when Elon takes the helm; it was already there during the time of Jack. In other words, both Elon and Jack are pro Bitcoin, so whoever owns Twitter, Bitcoin will surely have a special place.

He's a smart investor and I believe he's going to throw in one or two stuff that will further propel Twitter to value appreciation.
I tend to agree with this even though the crypto enthusiast community hate him in the past because he influenced the market.
But the fact is he is very smart and he knows what he doing and for sure, this always has a benefit to him.  Buying the Twitter platform for sure he has a purpose on it, there's a hidden agenda behind purchasing that big company, he can maybe make money on his own with his coins.

But I hope I'm the wrong conclusion, as what he said, he has a better plan for this platform to be good than before.
Making decentralized social media platforms as his plan sounds good, this makes fake accounts vanish that made scammed a lot of people before.

I think he has acquired twitter already.  Elon is a very smart investor. He has invested in many things and in cryptocurrencies also. Since he discovered that crypto is a game of numbers, he knew that the only way to control the number and manipulate crypto is to feed them selected and tactical information. To achieve that he has to acquire twitter.
Whichever coin he wishes to promote there is not my problem but my problem is he should not show signs of de marketing bitcoin as he did in the past.
What Elon said about this purchase is nothing related to profits he says he is doing it for humanity even though we can't agree with that 100% still he is trying to remove the censorship is in work at the moment and want to have complete freedom of speech. But I feel he is going to become more influential especially manipulative in the future, we don't know how his mind works even he doesn't know it as well, he just decide and start the work then go for the next.

No matter how some people will want to dislike Elon for his guts, we still can't say he isn't a smart dude. He didn't get to where he's today as the richest man on planet earth just like that. He's a smart investor and I believe he's going to throw in one or two stuff that will further propel Twitter to value appreciation.

I also think that if Elon acquired Twitter he can implement crypto payment and tipping on the social media platform
I expect scammers to latch onto this and scam the hell out of gullible followers. They already used his account to deceive people a few years ago when he wasn't even interested in acquiring Twitter let alone now that he has bought it. I hope Elon works on this and puts in place mechanism that can abate scams.

I think having more than one Crypto influencer like him isn't bad at all
You mean people with little to no understanding of the technology who have spread misinformation about bitcoin in the past? Definitely not. Having such people influence the minds of masses is not just bad, it is the worst thing considering these days people are brainwashed very easily after reading nonsense on social media.

IIRC about the tipping, its been on the news year/s ago but not implemented. We don't know what his plans really are and if it's going to benefit the crypto market.

As what he's saying, it's just for free speech so basically that's going to play a big part to his political agenda and surely those that oppose him won't like the outcome of it.

Elon is a brilliant person and his take on acquiring twitter is a thumbs up for crypto.
Elon is a manipulator who couldn't care less about you, me, crypto, or Twitter. He is aware that he has a big following amongst the crypto community and uses that position to create hype for the coins he owns and previously acquired.

He has already been charged by the SEC for fraud, and although he didn't admit doing anything wrong, he paid a $20 million penalty fee and was forced to step down as the CEO of Tesla. He tweeted and lied to his followers about his intentions of taking Tesla shares private for a much higher price than what they were worth. He lied that everything is ready for the listing, only the Tesla shareholders would have to vote and approve the idea. That was obviously all an act that resulted in the value of the shares to increase.

You can read all about it here if you want:

Maybe it makes sense that Elon Musk is trying to buy Twitter
It makes a lot of sense. He's capable of buying it, creating a pump in both Dogecoin/Eloncoin/Whatever and Twitter's shares, and then dump both of them. He has beautified it with "free speech"; a similar alibi to "coin of the common people".  Roll Eyes

I don't think he has the patience to hold acquisitions for long anyway so I'd imagine twitter will be dumped in a few years back on the market (probably for a higher price just because Elon backed it for a bit).

what do you think..
Does not matter to Bitcoin really, and I think to other altcoins. Any stand he might have on any altcoin can be passed through his Twitter handle and still have a large effect on the public, (for a while at least). Plus Twitter has been very receptive to Bitcoin for quite sometime now.

Stopping the spam bots could be a positive as many it them advertise shitcoins and make it difficult to follow discussions as they target large crypto "influencers".

Is this how we call financial manipulators nowadays?

Twitter has already implemented Bitcoin and Lightning tipping. Elon would probably just add Dogecoin.
