Nice to see how crypto is becoming a decent partc of the financial system. Of course it not That quick. But we have bars, auto salons, marketplaces based on this. I find it more safe than the fiat money.
Which ones are you talking about now? elaborate on that.
You might as well take a look at OpenBazaar and ModulTrade. These are the e-commerce platofrms based on crypto. It's said  you can get daily goods at lower prices and for crypto there. Same goes with automobiles I hear Mercedes can be bought for crypto today.

First of all congratulations. I don't know much enterpreneurs who are brave enough to take Bitcoin as a payment method. It's still rather risky anf often connected with some difficulties. I beleive that implementation wasn't that easy but I hope with time this would become usual thing for many businesses. This should be one of examples how to implement cryptocurrencies in real life.

Your making crypto sound like a hassle to accept when it is not.  It is very easy to accept crypto payments for your business, the only real downside is the volatility but that can often work in your favor when the price skyrockets.  Credit cards charge high fees from the seller's pocket so crypto helps negate this.

Hey guys how you doing, hope y'all well.
I run a Pop-up Coffee Bar inside the Record Store in Camden / London.

Yesterday I announced that I accept Bitcoin for your caffeine fix:

https://twitter.com/Coffee_Tune/status/1100734272120475651?s=19

To make most of it I need a good list of Bitcoin Merchant Directories where I can add my business.

I added my business in few of them but I need much more. If you have a y link or any handy list, please share. Have a good one!

It's great. The more cafes will accept Bitcoin as payment, the better. By the way, how much is a cup of coffee you?

This is a piece of great news to bitcoin users. They can now use their bitcoins to buy something good in real life. I am hoping that many store owner will follow you and also accept bitcoin as a mode of payment.  Cheesy

It's really hard indeed to attract lots of people to buy something with bitcoin. The most users now just use it for an investment or trading place only. I hope, some days after your bar will be in demand by poeple who has bitcoin in there. Only a patient will aswers your effort and at least you are the person who has  a strong courage to take bitcoin in your business which I know that's not easy to take it.

No need for the so called directories, the ones you’ve got is already enough and as long as you have the Bitcoin sign put up, anyone that comes and sees it already knows that you accept Bitcoin as payment. And when they leave they will also tell others about it and before you even get to know it, the news will spread around. All you need to do is just find the top directory and put your business there and nothing else.

Great! Thanks for your "real" support! Its always nice to see some new possibilities to spend cryptos. Every small adaption is another step into the right direction. Hope your doing good and sell some coffees for crypto Cool

Crypto should be spend everywhere where fiat can be spend. Although this seems a little impossible to implement at this present time but little adoptions like these shows that we are heading towards the pure crypto world where the fiat will have no role and every transaction will be using the crypto currencies.

I think it won't be so hard to understand that bitcoin payment implementation can be done for extra comfort. When you see visa/mastercard, skrill, paypal, webmomey, yandex money, neteller and others as a payment option in store, this doesn't mean shop owner supports them, no, he/she doesn't give a shit to those companies, it's just to make payment more available for everyone amd every type of customer. Imagine, I am in restaurant, seems I don't have cash and just realizef that I left my card in store but I remember I have money on my bitcoin wallet and store accepts it too, it escapes me from current weird situation. Can you understand now why wide choise of payment is good?

Congrats OP, it's a good step. But on another hand I am very interested in how beneficial btc payment implementation will be for you. So can you answer me on these questions?
1. How good is your bar's location? Is it located in areas which is full of tourists or it's mostly for those who live nearby?
2. How much transactions have been done since you implemented it? If there was any, how much was on bitcoin and on bitcoin cash.

Hey there,
1- it's not a great location. It's inside the Record store but the town having almost 30M people a year ( Camden Town)

2-since I announced, only people been sending some small amount of tips and only 1 person purchased coffee with BTC after he saw it in here Smiley

My tweet about it has reached almost 200k reach and plenty of engagement but at the end of the day nobody wants to travel to buy a cuppa with BTC.

Those people are great who sent tips to you, seems they appreciated the fact you integrated btc payment. If it doesn't affect your budget, then why not to keep it? I think it's still unusual for people when they see someone paying with btc and seems everyonr tries to pay with what's common, possibly.

Hello and congratulations for your growing business! I have a few questions in mind that needs to be clarified based on your experience ever since you started accepting bitcoin as an alternative payment:

1. How many people preferred paying in bitcoin compared to using cash? Follow-up question, was your business able to attract more customers due to implementing this kind of change?;
2. How did this affect the overall profit margin of the business?; and
3. Were the transactions taxable or is it a loophole in order to avoid paying taxes?

I am hoping that you shed me some light regarding my queries since it can also be an opportunity for other future businessmen to accept bitcoin as a payment. I wish nothing but the best to your business, OP.

Once a man, twice a child!
especially regions where bitcoin has not been declared illegal.

What regions are you referring to?
I guess s/he could be referring to regions where the government hasn't come out to declare Bitcoin illegal but still hasn't thrown its weight in support of it. I think that's the kind of situation we have in Africa where I come from.

Anyway, I feel glad anytime I hear or read news bits of merchants making inroads with Bitcoin. We need more of this.

Atleast theres still 1 person who do purchase up some cuppa with his BTC  Grin

As expected that not all places do really have that kind of Bitcoin adoption/awareness but atleast you have seen that theres someone who do able
to purchase and sparks its interest. It might take time for it to be popular, just have patience and just keep going.

Wow, you are so great! I like how you in trend your current business. Even though there are only few percentage of people that uses crypto currencies compared to those people who uses fiat currencies, you give the crypto users the opportunity to have use crypto currencies as their medium for payment. This Espresso Bar have a high potential to go in trend as it have a lots of potential and on current factors. Crypto currencies may not be the payment medium globally but as the days goes by, the people are keep on coming and engage in the world of crypto.

I hope this trend should continue and more people should engage and adopt bitcoin. We should spread such positive vibes and news about bitcoin all over the world, so other people are also tempted to make such moves and this way crypto will be used everywhere.

Wow! I get amaze from people like you who manage to accept cryptocurrency as a payment. My country thinks it is fraud at the moment so it isn't developing well here. Hope you get to invite more customers since you have added another payment option for them It would be fun if you name some of your coffee like "The Bitcoin Coffee" or "The HODL toddle Coffee. That will help the promotion as the customer's may spread it quickly with a silly name.
