I have to agree with the OP. In reading some of her old posts, there seems to be a censorship scandal developing here. Relevant on topic posts where buried by moderators. This for me is scandalous in a forum on a monetary system that is entirely designed around freedom and equality. So far examples Kang's "bad behavior" provided by mods is rather more damning of the mods then of Kang.
Please post evidence of her 'Trollish' posts.
She strongly advocates an uncensored board...
The advantages of having an open forum with censorship limited to true spam, IMHO overrides the inconvenience of some posters having to scroll down the page a little bit.
...and then she wants to get rid of the politics forum.
This kind of inflammatory language is very trollish:
What side are you on? Are you TRYING to sink Bitcoin?
Excessively criticizing the board as Jessy Kang does is a big red flag, as is constantly using your own offline "qualifications" to back up your arguments.
Like I said, though, while she sounds trollish, I don't believe she is a troll. None of her posts have ever been individually deleted.
The point of moderators is to remove viagra adds, not shape the discussion, or to have an opinion about someone supporting their arguments (good or bad) with references to their offline qualifications.
The criticism of the newbie section is on topic and salient. A better system has been implemented by many hugely successful open forums such as /., hacker news and others. You needn't heed the well intended advice about the boards organization, but actually moving and locking threads, or expressing *any* subjective opinion by mod-ding is a big no no in anyone's book.
Moderators such as Atlas who are busted moving threads based on opinion overstep their authority and should be shown the door. As a reader of this forum who wants to reduce noise as much as the next guy I do not support this behavior, and respectfully ask that such modding stop.
In my humble opinion, the solution to both of these issues (newbie section causing a barrier to entry, and inappropriate over modding vs spam management) can be solved with a properly implemented up voting system like reddit, /., hacker news, et al.
And who the fuck cares what gender Jessy Kang is? Get over it, it's off topic. For all you know I'm gay, also off topic. Posts about misogyny vs wightnights, are absolute non sequiturs (just to be clear not a moddable offense however, you can keep posting non sequiturs, and I can keep telling you not too. "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.").
