So far I've started with this-

Which has progressed to this-

I can't add any more hash power without tripping the breaker. At what block reward will my 2 Th/s no longer generate a payout. Page 1 and the Home website should have the minimum payout threshold stated but I can't find it.

★ these are stars ★

There are some miners with really bad software in their miners.
If they don't actually fix it, I ban them unless they have a reasonably high hash rate.

hello,

To know if we're concerned by that, what exactly should we look at on this page:
https://kano.is/index.php?k=workers

Invalid or Block % ?

What is the threshold for a bad value ?

I'm moving in. Since I started, I never solve a block yet. Hope I do here Tongue

I should be at full throttle in a few hours.

Kano,

I will be managing NBIZ and DROID account for a while.  I think it's only fair that I disqualify myself from the Avalon Contest and merge their hashing power under my account vs keeping it as 3 x 250TH  (Droid, Nbiz, nhando1977). This will help increase the opportunity for the other smaller members to win and hopefully bring in even more miners / hashing powers.  Good luck all.

@sorry2xu - I will PM you to keep things on topic for this thread

I have 1 ibm 2k running 4 hashing boards on one of my S5+s i am looking consolidate psu Smiley

the finksy/j4bberwock

breakout boards are very good.

either the dual 2000/4000

or the single 2980 not the 2880 with fan modes are really good.

I did a thread on them.

I am running avalon6's  and very happy with either psu.

but you must have 240 volts.

Back to here time to hit some blocks!

The 2 x IBM 2KW PSU are behind the 2 Black Ultra KAZE fans.  So 2 of them are lying on top of each other and the FAN is pushing the hot air toward my custom Oven / Chimney.  Works very well even when I'm OC 3xS7 at 731M.  This is my Test / Dev Block.  I do stress test here and then let my partners know what to deploy.  Here is a better picture.

P.S Finksy is an awesome guy to buy from.  Doing a shout out for him as I've purchased over 300 cables and over 15 breakout boards from him and his partners.  Very nice quality.

IBM 2KW PSU x 2 with the j4bberwock / Finksy 4K board.  Pretty kick ass PSU bundle and super super quiet with the Ultra Kaze fans.  Each column of 3 x S7 is powered by 1 of those 4K bundle PSU.  This is my Sealed Test Block.  Each Block / Rack is fully sealed to prevent Heat from recycling back and is vented up the Attic.  1 Rack can easily house 30-40 S7.  This test block is powered by both IBM 4K bundles and EVGA but I will be standardizing on the IBM 4K bundle for all new future blocks.

Is this normal for the invalid/stales? How would one reduce it or is that normal usage? Any advice? Thanks.

Yeah that's on the high side, but it depends on your miner quality and ping distance to the node you are mining at.
Also see above post.

Block action is awesome today, great, thanks!

Minor question-invalids for the whole pool seemed to went up from 0.4% to 0.8%.
Does this matter? What is the typical cause?
i saw them as low as 0.3% before and the number seems to fluctuate a lot.
There's a few things at play there:

When the pool finds a block, all the block counters reset to zero.
Thus initially the % will be very high since the first shares arriving will have a lot of stale shares, like for any block change.
But since the stats are zero, they show up as a large %, but with the % dropping as time progresses.

There are some miners with really bad software in their miners.
If they don't actually fix it, I ban them unless they have a reasonably high hash rate.

There's also, of course, anyone mining from inside the GFW to the main pool node, they should expect higher than normal invalids.

Normally it settles around 0.4%
