What does Inv Diff mean? Thanks to anyone who answers. Mine On.
The total difficulty of your Invalid Shares (vs Your Diff, which is the total difficulty of your valid shares)
Just for my own personal understanding, is it safe to say that Invalids can be caused by HW errors and shares submitted right after a Block is found and we go to work on the next block? Thanks.
The different reasons are actually listed on the Workers page if you click on the 'Show Details for Invalids:' check box.

They are:
Stale: you sent the share after the block changed
Dup: you sent the same share twice (this isn't really that uncommon)
Hi: the pool wanted Diff X shares, but you sent Diff Y shares (where Y is less than X)
Rej: there was something wrong with your data you sent to the pool. An example would be: you pointed an LTC miner at the pool Smiley

HW errors aren't part of any of that coz the miner doesn't send them to the pool.

Got it. Of my miners, only one has any issue with Invalids. Here is the data associated HI = 46,302/3. Every other miner has 0 across the board. Remedies, is there anything I can do improve performance? Thanks.

Question about HW errors. Chain 6 on my miners are all very high. 850, 630 etc.  Chain 7 and 8 on all the miners are all less than 10. Why is that and is there an issue I need to resolve?

Same issue here. I thought it's normal, but if anyone knows about it, please enlighten us. Thanks.

Hi, regarding profitability calculation
I saw this link, http://tradebtc.net/bitcalc.php
But it doesn't include transaction fees, does it ? Will I have correct result in $ when I put bitcoin price in $ +20% ?

Just wanted to compare with other pools info
Firstly, no it doesn't include transactions fees.

Secondly, no one knows either what the transaction fees will be in advance, or what the diff will be in advance.
To see why you can't tell what the txn fees will be, look at the Monthly table on the Blocks page - MeanTx% - it shows what they have averaged each month ... yep pretty random actually Smiley
Diff changes are also pretty random too.

Anyway, that page I wrote, allows you to work out 100% PPS and set various different values for start diff, average diff change and how many days.
The number it spits out, you could probably multiply by about 1.1 (110%) as a good guess underestimate for transaction fees.
It may be higher, but adding 10% is certainly not going to be an over estimate of the txn fees.

Yeah sorted out a way to identify them without accidentally picking up normal users failing to login Smiley

Is this part of that North Korea quest for ill gotten bitcoins?
No idea what it was - but there were about 60,000 login attempts, which isn't really a lot at all, but enough to be annoying.

Hey why is my API showing nothing on my workers? It's not even showing IDLE workers!

The API is showing the the main pools stat but not my s9s something is wrong Kano can you check my workers?
KanoDB restarted due to an error at 2017-12-17 04:53
Restart completed at 2017-12-17 04:59
So it was the normal losta zeros and '?' from the web site during the restart (during that time range)
All OK again.

The web login DDoS is still going on - so logins are still disabled Sad
I guess I'll have to work out a way to identify them directly but allow everyone else to login ... working on it.

If you do get completely blocked from the web site, ask here so I can check the logs and see if you got blocked via what I'm working on to block the DDoS.
Shouldn't get anyone, but of course when there's so much data coming in, I could accidentally pick up one or two people that aren't part of the DDoS.

I'm currently not getting any response from kano.is

PM me your IP
Also note that the DDoS is quite noticeable but I've 'probably' now blocked it
(not seeing anything from it at the moment)

But it still can affect you accessing the web site like any normal DDoS - though it's not very large.

I just started with Kano last sunday. ( About 1 week now )  Yep, I was a nice hash refugee.  But I don't know if I brought the bad luck with me.... There has been no block found the whole time I have been here.  I only have 1 s9 currently, but have 4 more coming.

Do I need to change the IP of my s9 to 192.168.1.88 for better luck with the 8's?

p.s. I am sorry if It was my bad luck that caused this week dry spell.  Sad

Oh where oh where have my blocks gone.....
