So in algo-switching scenario, pool decides what user will mine not based on currently highest priced coin only, but on price AND difficulty parameters?
So ATM: DGB: high price, high difficulty; Topaz: price not so high as DGB but diff lower than DGB, so pool chooses Topaz.
Correct?

Think there is something wrong with your skein autoswitching. DGB is the most profitable by far! So why is your pool still switching to other much lower profitable coins? Seems it should stay on the most profitable..... Thanks

what?  What was the "diff vs pool hashrate" at that moment vs other coins in that algo?  was it economical to send the hash to DGB at that moment?

I will admit;  DGB has nearly doubled.... but look at the network difficulty..... see any correlations there?

I'm still not sure things are working perfectly.

Right now I have 1.92 GH/s on zpool for skein and it only appears to be worth 0.00624 BTC or $15.69 a day.

But if I go and check whattomine it is showing profitability to be more than double at 0.013618 BTC or $32.60 a day.

My profit switching seems to think hmq1725, blake2s, nist5, equihash, sib and bitcore are all better to mine.
Skein very rarely drops that low in the rankings and I'm curious why.

It could totally be an issue on my end, but I there any chance you could double check why skein is so low?

if you ask me;  whatttomine is for the sheep.   It bases its information on multiple sources/exchanges (mixing them for results on a per-site basis) and also includes a human factor which adds even more error.   What exchange is whattomine basing this price info off of, at what time? (see what I mean?)

Keep this in mind.  you are taking advice from a 3rd party that;  frankly, has been historically inaccurate in many ways in my eyes.

24 hour profitability has been hovering around 0.004mBTC/day recently......  which is easy to do spot math on yourself.

Jared,

Can you let me know if I'm doing this math correctly from zpool? If the 24 hour profitbility is .004mBTC/day and I have 1,000MH/s, I should be making 4mBTC per day (.004mBTC x 1,000MH/s = 4mBTC)?

Which is about $9.6 every 24 hours.

Thanks,

(0.004*1000)-2%0.08=3.92mBTC

yup, pretty close.  but that was 3.92 in the previous 24 hrs from that point in time.   notice it fluxes.... up and down.

It's like the newspaper.  Yesterdays news.

Which algo?  Equihash may still have issues as it hasn't shown an updated block in 3 hours, but has been accepting shares.  So it may simply be the Web GUI not updating.  Other algos are reporting fine though, running hmq1725 now with multiple coins finding blocks.

Balance and Total unpaid continue to increase as well.

are we sure everything works? I've been mining the same coin for 4 hours now on the multipool?
It was the autoswitchminer Smiley the coin it was mining was Verge aka x17 Smiley

EDIT: We're indeed back switching coins/algos again!

Settle down, the pool is working fine.  Its just the graph reporting thats having issues.  Its happened before and will get corrected.  Just wait for Crackfoo to get to it.

Making idle threats is pointless, especially if you don't have more than a handful of GPUs.

Should be ok now, it was just the graphing scripts hung for a while. We did some ZEN changes but should have been unrelated to graphing but, I backed out all changes today and seems graphing is returned.

Question:

I am getting ready to revisit my batch and add the new algos and whatnot.

Since there's the issue with connected miner info ghosting but hashrate still shows;  I am thinking of adding a timer and app kill/restart after so much time has passed.

Probably gonna reset itself every algo switch for auto-switching setups (or maybe it's entirely unnecessary to enable on this mode).... but, I think it's a nice mid-term solution to a very strange bug to track down.

Thoughts?

Any features requested at this time?  (I plan to devote some hours if I get a fancy idea, or you get one)

I am also going to be combining all of my batch files into one....

I.E.
C:/zpool.ca/startminer.bat -ProfitSwitch
or
C:/zpool.ca/startminer.bat -ManualMode -AutoRestart 30
or
C:/zpool.ca/startminer.bat -BasicMode

I will also be making it much easier to input manual intensity settings on each algo (configurable up top with the rest of the user configurable options).

So any input will input further in making it better for everyone.

I think a feature that would be really cool is notification if your miner stops working.
You can pull some data from the API and check that your accepted shares are still rising.

Downtime really hurts if you don't catch it quickly

All my miners were not earning for about 4 hours - there's no way all my miners at 3 different locations go down at the same exact time for the same amount of time - is there any explanation for this?

Sorry if it's been asked already... but haven't found any post about it in the last 10 pages Tongue so...

Why no Ethash switching? With so many different coins now (ETH, ETC, UBQ, MUSIC, EXP...) it would definitely make sense? Nicehash got one but profitability is lower than all of the above so doesn't make much sense...

Unfortunately the stratum code used doesn't support these algos :\

Looks like equihash pool is having issues.  Can't connect to it.  Others are working though.

Mine is still mining and submitting shares, but haven't found a block for 3 hours.
