i think there is no such one-way street from being open source to being transparent, and personally do not think every closed source projects are sniffing data for NSA And CIA 
choosing any type of licensing/EULAs including opensource(MIT,APACHE,GNU) and/or closed sources is a serious legal decisions, specially for projects developed/funded by private company, Me, on behalf of Kaze Team, and as A co-founder of the project can assure, we want to make the best decision for our community. we think we still have time to open the source code to public ,fully  or partially.
just in order to make my point a bit clearer for you there is A coin An***ian they later re branded under some other name they have a lot of  "MIT Licensed" product, almost 3.4 billion USD market cap , it is  almost two year i am following their GitHub page. last thing uploaded there , is  a read me file with single line of text "we are going opensource"     , and have not been updated for almost two years there is literally nothing.
another example is about one of the most popular opensource, Linux base operating systems which once I heard from Richard Richard Stallman publicly said they have some evidence show this "LINUX base OPENSOURCE OS" is gathering users data for one of the biggest online retail shops in the world.

Actually, the 3 items you mentioned on your OP has been addressed by many projects already.
But the ecological part, might be one good thing to really address.
So if you can cater all those features and be transparent with your progress, this might pull it off.
Because normally, altcoins promise to have such outstanding features but not even one item has been delivered.

Hi lernerz, regarding name please check out our white paper we have explained there why Kaze. regarding block chain trend i think you are right to certain extend but, Kaze team strongly believe ,by creating another blockchain capable of hosting tokens and assets, another option will be introduced to monopolized market of these type of block chains.
we are not going ICO for agora, neither not creating coin, it is an infrastructure for ICOs, we have added a new option  to these market, any one can deploy his/her smart contracts on our block chain, and create his/her token with much cheaper price in comparison with NEO,ETH. we not only have competitive advantage on pricing but also the tps on our blockchain is by far better than ETH(10-15 TPS), KAZE tps is around 11000-12000 TPS.

so we would like to invite people to use better platform with much better, reasonable  pricing. we are all here to help ICOs, crypto community.

Hi Lernerz,thank you very much for your opinion. We were thinking about the name for sure,but at the end we represent part of blockchain and people got used to the name blockchain.The truth is,that we are aiming to make the whole ecosystem where community can meet together and members can be usefull among themselves, so the crypto-currencies will have the real usage. So when we release the community based platform Agora,then community can vote on many things, so whoever will have some idea,will have the possibility to call for voting and let the community decide.

In my opinion, the name associated with the blockchain was chosen unsuccessfully. The trend for blockchain is already falling. More demand for crypto-currencies and platforms using tokens for real use. Especially the project from the agora, and the name is closer to the banking associations and hipster startups.
