It is amazing that it is the individuals' responsibility to protect their coins with wallets. It should be the exchanges responsibility to protect their clients from hackers.  Huh

Between the two, most people felt more secure storing their coins offline or in cold wallets than online or cloud wallets. The main advantage of online wallets is of course it is accessible everywhere that has internet. While offline wallet is encrypted to your own storage and bring it anywhere. To keep hackers at bay in both wallets, don't ever trust links that you are not familiar with. If you want to check it out, use a public computer.

For those people who can't afford hardware wallets, just keep it on offline wallets like the best preferred which is Electrum and it will just be safe. I've been doing it for 2 years and I have never been hacked.

This is the first thing you need to do if you want to join in bitcoin. You need to knowledgeable about safest wallet and safety measure for your bitcoin. Also if you want to be safe from hackers, you need a hard wallet because that hard wallet has security key and the most safest wallet.

BTC user should be responsible with their account. Beware with the phising links on the internet. Don't give your PK to anyone, and never input your PK with those links asking for your PK.

Yes, thats a very good information for newbie in forum. If anybody can not safe his keys he may lost all his currency or information. I will add just another thing also that is you should use strong anti virus on your PC or sell phone where you do your work because there are some malware which may enter when you browse any think and that malware may stolen your all information. On the other hand, in normal way you could not understand which is real link or which is fishing link. When you entered into a fishing link with your real keys that must be stolen. But when you use a strong anti virus, it will direction you about a safe link. So everything you have to do for your safe. Be a safe man.

For bitcoin i will take the second option, using hardwallet.
Except bitcoin has release the wallet in browser extension like metamask in ethereum.
You dont need to input your wallet credential when using it.

Indeed, There are so many precautions in keeping an online wallet very safe. It is easier to keep a hardware wallet safer than an online one. I would therefore recommend hardware if everyone can afford it.

If you need your bitcoin to be safe, you do not have to worry from the standpoint of a bitcoin blockchain technology but the wallet containing your bitcoins might be vulnerable to attack that's why it is important that you use bitcoin in a safe wallet like Ledger or Nano which is least likely to be vulnerable.

If we would store our crypto is best to used wallet with double verification code that could strengthen up the security we have upon taking an online base wallet but if we are going to deal with investment it is much better to used exchanger with a built wallet that could store our trading to evade multiple transaction that could multiply the risk it may takes to deal with both trading and holding at the same time when it needed for us to sell or to buy.

This is good information. I know a lot of people, who are new to crypto world and they commonly do such mistakes. And then wallets are hacked or even lost. So you should do everything wisely and be very prudent with such thing. Because it is your money and there are too much people, who would steal it with pleasure.

I use a separate device only for operations with crypto currency. I also use an operating system with a high degree of protection (this is Qubes). another major factor: never enter into your crypto accounts in public wi-fi.
