I just visited your site and I really appreciate your efforts, simple and interesting to read the latest news about cryptocurrencies.
BUt, I am wondering about what happen with "up to date"? It seems the latest news added about 15-16 hours ago, maybe you are busy right now or what?
Thank you for sharing this site, but I hope you could make an app for iphone and android instead of just a site as people always check their smartphone and the app could notify us.

Just wanted to stop in and say great job on the development of the website! I saw it when it was first released and it's come a long way. The new features you've added along the way have been really helpful. Keep it going Smiley

Really great work! Nice touch adding the top 100 coins on the left side there. Can I ask where the coin prices are being pulled from?

The value of a coin is determined by the market, and the market here is the bitcoin user, or, more clearly, the value of the bitcoin depends on everyone's trust for it, so they are. We need to trust each other if we want bitcoin to continue to grow.

Is there a chance to integrate it with a RSS feed?
The view with visible description looks exactly like a RSS feed and I like it, just now I can't get a hint which news (or titles) I've read and which I didn't.
I'm not sure if this would be good or bad for your website since this would make the people get the RSS and access the external links directly (I think), but I'd like to see such feature if it's also OK for you.
Of course, this site goes to my bookmark list, great job!

Thanks for the feedback! I originally did have an RSS feed but it started getting abused and so had to remove. That said in the future if there is enough interest I may offer an API so that paid services can use make use of my news feed directly.

Thanks again for the kind words, had a lot of fun working on the project.

Another update.

- Added even more sources. Over 200 sources and counting Tongue
- Cleaned up the site massively, even less clutter so you can fully concentrate on the news
- Improved mobile view
- Improved page loading times and applied other performance tweaks
- Tweaked sidebar so its less obstructive
- Added an ICO section. This lists all the latest and upcoming ICO's including added resources like project websites, whitepapers, social accounts, communication channels and development channels). This allows you can check if a project is legit within seconds Smiley

- Added sponsors (donations failed miserably, hopefully with enough steady sponsors I don't have to pay out of my own pocket to maintain the website)

Let me know if you want to see anything else, have any constructive feedback etc.

Hi all,

Just an update.

- Fixed a number of bugs
- Added even more sources.
- added source categorisation
- added a source filter so you can now enable/ disable sources based on your own preference
- Simplified up the UI
- made the platform more mobile friendly
- added a collapsable sidebar
- added the option to show/ hide news excerpts below headlines

Things I'm hoping to work on:

- add the option to select what coins are displayed
- Add currency options for the coins displayed (currently only USD)
- Add a light/dark theme option (day/night mode)
- ??

Keep the feedback (good or bad) coming. Seeing people actually use the site keeps me motivated to continue working on the project lol.

Very nice site!!

I have added it to my favourite list in my browser.

I think it would be nice if you hover over a coin it could display more data about the coin, like f.e. market capitalisation, trading volume.  Cheesy

edit: you might consider, to make a switch to choose between $ and €

The design is good. But I have to wait 2 minute before the news come out. Beside could you give some brief below the news title so I don't need to open too many new tabs.

So big list of news feed, it's need a lot work to do, good job and keep it works.

Well I have some suggestions:
- Add content filter, like altcoin announcement, ICO announcement or filtering by source.
- Because this is based on website, I think you should make an alert, it's like sent the latest news to email subscribers or make an extension.

Thank you for your kind words!

Does anyone have any feature requests? At the moment I am going to be looking at implementing two things:

- the option to turn on/ off sources so users can personalise what news is displayed
- add an option to show a little bit of the story (maybe a sentence or two) under each headline to add context to a headline

Both of these would be opt-in features so the site will continue to work as is however gives users the option to further customise.

What are your thoughts?

Also if you can think of any good news sources to add please let me know. Hopefully as a community we can build this up in to the ultimate resource for crypto news.

Thanks Smiley

Hello hu11! Nice to meet you.

Thanks for sharing the tool you have created. Since my favourite RSS feed reader went premium I've been looking for  convenient way to track all the cryptocurrency news.

Do you have CoinFox included as source ?

Btw the https://coinspectator.com/eth/balances Ethereum Balance checker is pretty cool

Yep, have a look Wink it includes CoinFox.

Thanks, someone on reddit was looking for a simple balance checker so I just made it for him/ her. The cool thing about that balance checker is that you can also check multiple balances by url adding params Tongue

For example:

https://coinspectator.com/eth/balances?addresses=0xAf5cdBbabdEaA5F79Eb7dbAc4C2884A54Ba5Bc05,0xAf5cdBbabdEaA5F79Eb7dbAc4C2884A54Ba5Bc05,0xAf5cdBbabdEaA5F79Eb7dbAc4C2884A54Ba5Bc05

The above gets the balance for 3 addresses (for the example they are the same addresses repeated but of course they would all be different in a real use case). So it gets the balance for each address and then also totals them up as well.
