Though its a great news for all of the cryptocurrency enthusiasts, personally, am not gonna buy them for my bitcoins as I feel the same bitcoins may worth allot more in the future and I cant afford to lose that profit.

KFC releases Bitcoin Bucket

Not yet a day has passed since the company KFC announced the release of Bitcoin Bucket in Canada.

Is it a food or their ICO or what? If it's a food so I may try it for a couple of times but really I don't feel it is a best thing for advertisement.

KFC releases Bitcoin Bucket

Not yet a day has passed since the company KFC announced the release of Bitcoin Bucket in Canada.

As they say on the official website, the batch will preserve the classic recipe, and delivery will be made only within Canada.

Also on your page in Facebook KFC report: "KFC Canada is representing Bitcoin Bucket. Of course, we do not fully understand what Bitcoin is and how it works, but it can not become an obstacle between you and the delicious chicken. "

More

I hope the name is misleading and it isn't a 1 BTC bucket of chicken or else that's one hell of a big bucket. Things like this are great though, it starts to bring an acceptance to those people who do not understand bitcoin, when they see major corporations accepting it it can in time start to change their mindsets to be more favourable toward bitcoin.

We had most expensive pizza before, in the next few years those who bought KFC using bitcoin now could have most expensive chicken perhaps?

I thought something was up with this. I guess they just hop in to the trend and make use of it to gain more profit for their food restaurant. Basic advertising skills, but regardless it is still a good move for them.

I love KFC big buckets but I'm not interested to buy them with my Bitcoins because I don't want to end up paying twice the big bucket price as fee for Bitcoin transfer. If they find out a new solution for this problem then spending Bitcoins might be feasible. They could have used some fast altcoins though.

Well, bitcoin seems to hit mainstream of usage slowly despite high transaction fee. Amazon is too expected to accept bitcoin payments soon. If that happens, even more retail firms would come forward accepting bitcoin.

Nice move from KFC. But I think we need Lightning Network for these kind of transactions, otherwise it doesn't work properly. Let's see which companies will follow accepting BTC.

Honestly, this seems like a gimmick and a marketing ploy to me. There's no lack of meme altcoins it seems and everyone wants to join in.

But then again, anything to get people to pay more attention to crypto currency and btc in general I guess? As the saying goes: "This is good for the bitcoin"

It's not just good for bitcoin, it's finger-lickin good for bitcoin Cheesy
But seriously, why would they offer this just in Canada?
why not do it in every part of the world? that way they could spread the awareness about bitcoin in a much larger scale and possibly gain lots of profit from it (We all know, crypto people loves drumsticks  Grin ).

This is a funny move done by KFC and although it might work as propaganda for bitcoin, I think it will do more good things for KFC than for the virtual coin. Bitcoin already went mainstream in terms of awareness, so KFC is actually capitalizing on that hype. With this movement, the brand KFC is probably going to be shown and talked about among bitcoin users, like we are doing right now. So in my opinon, KFC itself is getting more awareness from bitcoin, than bitcoin will get from these buckets that will only be visible in Canada.

In my opinion, in this way, they want to further popularize the BTC in the general masses, as this peer know almost all over the world.

I like KFC's Fried chicken bucket, and if I can pay it in bitcoin, I will choose to use bitcoin, even if it requires a high fee.

This'll help with the popularity of Bitcoin. As KFC is a network that has food court around the world, surely something promoted through the same will happen in a much shorter time period. The initiation taken by KFC will support the growth of bitcoin.
