KFC will initially roll out the program in its stores in the Venezuelan capital of Caracas before expanding it to 24 other locations throughout the country. Dash movement is developing so fast in November 2018 echeverria launching Dash Text, an SMS-based Cryptocurrency transaction service that does not require a smartphone or the Internet. Dash aims for 10,000 traders in 2019. While bitcoin transactions require an average of 10 minutes it can take up to one hour during peak periods

good news for dash

Yep, 2018 has been a very good year for Dash with regards to integrations and merchant adoption.
Price/market will catch up to that at some point.

For every investor there comes a time to evaluate the following :

* what are the achievements of the project i'm currently in ?
* what are the use cases of the project i'm currently in ?
* what is the vision of the project i'm currently in ?
* what is the roadmap of the project i'm currently in ?
* does the development team provide clear and accurate communication to its own community ?

If there are no clear answers to above questions, then that should form a red flag.

it seems that not only in those countries that have received payments using cryptocurrency, there are some KFCs from other countries that have received payments using cryptocurrency.

Dash next update v0.13 (which is currently tested on testnet and should be out soon) will implement an instant send-lock-spend method on simple transactions (transactions with 4 inputs or less)
without any additional fees. Which means that a customer can pay for something within a few seconds, the transaction locked against double spending and the merchant can spend received money
right away. Only transaction fees are still applicable, but Dash has pretty low transaction fees.
This should making paying for food / products / services a breeze.

By the way KFC Venezuela is not the only (fastfood) place accepting Dash these days in Venezuela Smiley --> https://dashnews.org/chicken-restaurant-chain-churchs-accepts-dash-in-10-venezuelan-locations/

I think countries like Venezuela are the perfect target for cryptocurrencies gaining acceptance. The citizens of these countries have first hand experience of how a FIAT currency can fail them and by now probably realize that their wealth is better protected in cryptocurrencies. I suspect that the merchants in these countries then convert any crypto they receive in to a more stable fiat such as USD.
But you also knew that Venezuela is very desperate to bring their economy grow again so they have no choice but make everything or do anything even experimental just to find what help can this bring to them.so don’t use this as good example for marketing of cryptocurrency because if those fails then it will be a bad image for crypto.so better look for another option

And this concerns not only Venezuela, but their first experience with Petro showed that even cryptocurrency cannot cope with all the problems, but are only a means to improve the general condition.

I hope this good news can be one reason that the price of the crypto currency can be pumped so that at the beginning of the year the price of the crypto currency will recover.

That was already said by KFC representative in Venezuela that currently, you can not purchase with Dash there.
However, they are going to receive pensions in Petro, which is crazy how fast it is moving.

It's a logical choice as they can't accept Bolívar... or they can, but it's pointless because it's not convertible to any real currency. The 'official' rates and black market rates are kind of different.

Unfortunately, KFC and others will use this tactic only on problematic locations. You will not see this soon in US/EU.

This news is not true, it has been refuted by KFC Director, though accepting Dash was put into consideration but they have not decided to start accepting it, even Dash team has apologize for this misinformation. Even the Forbes news that broke the news has changed the title, Dash team need to do well in passing information across which is not what this multinational companies want
We cant be sure if the news about KFC Venezuela was indeed accepting DASH was truth or not because either you or the OP post the link to the statement made by the KFC people but the OP does posted the KFC of Canada accepting bitcoin and with that I'm sure for them to accept DASH wont be a problem.

Have another look at the first post, the URL of "KFC Venezuela accepting Dash Cryptocurrency" is present too:

Plus, there are few more references if you Google; for example, have a look at the following Forbes article:

UPDATE from Dash Merchant Venezuela: Negotiations on the above-mentioned partnership have resumed and are still ongoing. We will post an official update as soon as possible.

UPDATE 2 from Dash Merchant Venezuela: https://twitter.com/dashmerchant/status/1072327769068052481

EDIT: BTW, if you're talking about an update/announcement from an official channel of KFC, then I must tell you that there hasn't been any official update regarding the acceptance of DASH on any of KFC official channels.

Surely Dash will be able to be appreciated in Venezuela, this makes it easier for Dash holders to spend their coins on something real and able to meet their needs every day. This step will give a positive role to the Dash itself and also the holder.

Good development, this positive news can help Dash improve, and as an acceptable tool for transactions across all of Venezuela. Opens opportunities for other moving countries such as KFC to receive crypto for transaction tools.

This is weird, I thought the most used cryptocurrency in Venezuela was Bitcoin since the trading volume has been going up over the last few months in that country, I think this is just a PR move by the Dash marketing team, that's the only way I could understand why KFC would accept to use Dash in the first place when there are way better options in the market.

I personally don't like the way we're celebrating this news - this is actually the total collapse of a centralized form of government. Mr. Nicolas Maduro completely ruined Venezuela. Bad governance and a "hell of corruption" is all that he gave in return to the people who voted for him. KFC (and many other outlets) no longer want to accept a currency that is "too difficult to handle" and "too volatile to keep up with" (I'm not talking about DASH/crypto here, I'm talking about their stupid fiat known as Venezuelan Bolivar).

Oh well, I feel really sorry for Venezuelan people.
